RL Once again TABS out to desktop!

so this has been an issue a couple of times in the history of rocket league, but here we are again, back at the issue with rocket league tabbing out to desktop randomly.

(Please comment in here to let me and possible other players know they are not alone)

nothing is stealing focus, it just states desktop. Since this has been an issue with rocket league before makes me wonder what causes this ? There is no anticheat for rocket league so i'm wondering why rocket league is going to the desktop of players? has to be a coding mistake, but none the less, it's an issue again.

like i said, nothing is stealing focus, it's just desktop.

Are you using an xbox controller?
If yes, download the xbox accessories app on the microsoft store and update the controller drivers.
let me know if then the problem will still persist.
in the meantime, could you answer some questions that might help us solve the problem?
when do you have this type of issue?while you are playing or just starting the game?
Are you having some third party app/bakkesmod in background?
Are you using more than one monitor?
Is your windows 10 version up to date?

this is something that started after last update of the game.
- the controller drivers are up to date.
- no i don't run any third part software in background (Like i said, nothing is taking the focus, it just state desktop)
- i have a 2 monitor setup but it happens even if i only use 1 either of the monitors.
- and windows is up to date.

This is something that started after the last update of rocket league.
i'm not asking for a solution or for what this could be, i'm asking others who are experiencing this atm to comment in here to let me and others coming by know that we are not alone in having the issue.

I got a new PC recently and I my game also closed to the desktop, nothing was "stealing focus". I disabled the game bar an haven't had a problem since.

so i don't really get why this post ended up here, i'm clearly not posting to report a bug, but trying to get the attention of others who are having same issues, so that i can gather enough info on wether or not this is actually a bug that needs to be reported.

but please, if you read this and you are having the same issues, comment in here and let me know and i will forward the issue to Epic and Psyonix.

Rocket League being tabbed out isn't a Rocket League issue.

It's some program installed on your computer that is doing it.

I used to know of program that can log what programs are calling for foreground access. But I can't seem to find it. So I will need to do some searching before I can help.

yes i used a focus log software and it only states desktop.

and yes it is a Rocket League issue that it happens to Rocket League and Rocket League only and only started to occure after the latest update.

There is nothing installed on my computer doing it and it happens every time i go into rocket league and start up a match.

i can watch a movie, or play any other game and it dosnt happen, so no, i can't see how this is my computer when it only happens when having rocket league opened and during matches.

Well. Just so you know. A lot of newer games don't use "true" fullscreen like Rocket League is still using. Especially videos.

Only thing I can suggest is the basics.

Check Windows for issues. Which can cause tab outs. This is one of the #1 fixes for fullscreen games being tabbed out. Next to turning off Game Bar and Windows Game mode.

in Command prompt as Admin type
sfc scannow

Also, pause Windows update when playing games so it doesn't check while you're in-game.

i'm a 33 year old programmer, i've done the system check and doubled checked everything. there is no doubt that this is an issue that came with the latest update.

Epic has nothing with game issues.
It could be related to Windows update too.

You can just submit ticket to support with log files, at best unlisted YouTube video and then eventually add more :

I moved back to General, doing that shouldn't be issue.
I personally don't have this Tab out problem, playing with keyboard only and without Xbox Game bar.
