Remove Scope Sway : NOW
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIDtsT0RsH8

Scope sway is simply silly , unless you're using a 24x scope and have twigs for arms , your gun wouldn't sway that much at all.

REMOVE IT!!!

I bet he never did.

LOL omg the fact you think game mechanics should be based on real life already shows you're too ignorant to even discuss what you think should be added or removed from the game

and thats before we even get to the fact you're wrong with your real life example LOL continue on being ignorant and never admitting you're wrong

up next from THOR: he thinks prone should be added to the game because he just wants to camp he doesnt want to play Rust the way its supposed to be played

Large distance aiming in this game is absolute wank. Pull out the BAR, aim at something and watch how incredibly fast your crosshair goes down, there is literally no reason to have that in the game. I've aimed at the lower bar of a windowframe multiple times just to test it out, and within seconds im nearing the floor, and that is without me moving my mouse at all. (even with a silencer/holo sight, those improve the accuracy rating I believe?)

They could easily lower it by at least 50% of what it currently is and make a lot of people happy.

In reaction to the now edited/deleted comments of 'nerd #420'

I always play as a bandit and often solo, sometimes with a friend. The parkinsons-like reaction my character has when I'm holding a gun has nothing to do with camping/tunnel vision. The aim is very bad especially once you're trying to go for a kill at a longer distance.

The BAR is the long range weapon of this game, the 'sniper' even. The swaying I do when I am trying to aim at someone even remotely close to the 250 range this weapon has is out of control. It should be reduced by a large percentage, or maybe 90% reduced when crouching and sitting still for the first few seconds, after that I can understand how his arms could get tired of holding the weapon up. (although, I build houses out of wood and metal, I bring down wild animals with a hatchet, I personally would expect my character to be a bit more enduring than that but to prevent camping, lets say a few seconds of non-swaying aim after crouching would be pretty nice.)

Normally i would agree but i think alot of the fun in Rust comes from eliminating the long range confrontation completely. So in terms of gameplay i favour anything that makes it hard to engage longrange. That includes the sway.

It's not realistic, i hear you, but in gameplay terms its needed.

Yeah I have no issue with the sway in this game.... it just forces players to take their time, crouch and be patient.... wait for the sights to line up on target and shoot as soon as possible so you don't lose your chance.

It would be far too easy for players to stand on a mountain to pick off rock tossers down below as they go about their business if the weapon sway was close to zero.

considering even the shorter ranged weapons such as M4 and Mp5 ALSO sways like a dog , you might as well as bring out a shotty and blast him in his face cos your bullets are never gonna connect.

Crouching and being patient doesn't eliminate your scope sway

Nothing will ever eliminate your weapon sway unless you use a tripod/mounted firearm.

In "real life" crouching "Reduces" your weapon sway and prone "Reduces" your weapon sway even more.... but because you're a human being and not a robot, you will have weapon sway no matter how trained or fit you think you are.

Pick up an actual rifle or even a pistol.... aim with it at a target from a good distance away and focus on the weapon sights and see how much the weapon sights sway in your hand while standing. Now do the same thing while crouching.

..... Now try and stop yourself from swaying the weapon and have perfect, steady aim.

Let me know how that goes for you.

Even with controlled breathing and proper marksman/sniper training, you can never fully eliminate weapon sway unless you use a bipod/tripod.

As there are no tripods/bipods in the game.....

I have , and I am trained in olympics grade air pistol and rifle . I can tell you for a fact the sway doesn't come unless you've been aiming down your sight for too long , tiring your arms or you're new to the trade and your arms aren't used to it.

Still not qualified for chemical propellant arms yet , but I tell you for a fact.
THEY DON'T SWAY like that.

Saying you are Olympics trained would be like me saying i'm the head of the CIA, fact is yes i agree that the weapon sway in this game is far more than it should be, i agree we should be able to atleast steady the aim for even 2 seconds at most to get a shot off, and not be able to steady your shot again for a few seconds, the sway is pretty much a form of balancing mechanic, but i agree we should be able to like rest the guns or even rest your arms on the hood of the junk pile cars, or rest your arms on the top of a box / barrel or even a half wall piece, just to help steady the shot a tad.
