I have, but even in that menu my controller (aside from the left joystick) doesn't do anything, so I can't get it to remap.
Running on Windows 7 pro, 64-bit.
If you're using a DS4 and the stick works but the buttons don't:
You have to use your keyboard to navigate to the "Controls" section of "Help & Options". Once there, you can press ENTER on the keyboard to bring up the remap dialog and remap any of the gamepad controls you'd like.
If you're using a DS4 or wireless 360 pad and nothing is working:
Please make sure that you have connected the gamepad to your computer before launching the game. Unfortunately our game engine (Unity) does not always play nicely with hot swapping controllers. Issues may also arise if your controller disconnects during the middle of a game and you have to reconnect.
Please let me know if this helps. Thanks!
Got it! I think I didn't realize I had to hit Enter to start the remapping (whoops). Thank you!
Do you have anything else plugged in that your computer could think is a controller (racing wheel, flight stick, drawing tablet, etc.)?
Could it be a problem with the xbox wireless router device that plugs to the pc and talks to all the controllers? Maybe I should start up a new thread topic to see if anyone using a wireless xbox controller is having luck.
I'm trying to get my hands on a 360 wireless adapter to test this out myself. Thanks for you patience!
EDIT: On further testing, I tried waiting to turn on the controller until after the game started, contrary to given instructions, and THEN setting the control scheme. Having done that, as long as I turn on the controller after the game starts and NOT before, it works. If the controller is on before the game starts, it won't be detected. Hopefully this helps with debugging!
