Steam says I'm not In-Game
When I start the game Steam for a brief moment shows I'm In-Game but after that the status quickly changes back to Online. The game and overlay (!) work without issues but this problem may indicate that Steam API fails somehow.

I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 x64
The only log I found in the game folder https://gist.github.com/Alex7Kom/33cbdc50c652e0f92a77

I have same problem, Arch 64bit. When launched from console, Steam logs this, both lines almost instantly.

Game update: AppID 251990 "Long Live The Queen", ProcID 27943, IP 0.0.0.0:0
Game removed: AppID 251990 "Long Live The Queen", ProcID 27956
Confirmed on Debian stable amd64 over here; I think I know the problem. (Need to make the achievement synchronizer run continuously as a daemon so Steam knows you're in-game, most likely.)

Is this the reason we don't get card drops ?

Most likely. Steam is not aware of you playing => no cards dropped.

It looks like the Windows and Linux Steam APIs are behaving differently; I've poked the developer forum to see if it's something Valve is planning to fix or something I'll need to work around.

The alpha branch should now correctly detect time in-game and drop cards on Linux.

Yes, it works for me, thank you.

Probably late tonight (PST) - need to be awake to fix things if it turns out to set the other OSes on fire. (It *shouldn't*, but.)
