Evil Longsword +3

My Ninja, converted from an Evil Priest, seems to be doing more damage with an Evil Longsword +3 than with a Shuriken. Is the Evil Longsword +3 the optimum weapon for an Ninja? What advantages does a Shuriken have over an Evil Longsword +3?

According to the chart that I read Evil Long Sword +3 is 4-13 damage and Shuriken is 11-16 so it should be better, also can level drain / poison. However, if you invoke Shuriken (which will most likely break it) it adds +1 to HP.

The Shuriken is 1 of only 2 items I haven't gotten yet. I find the Vorpal to be better than the Evil Longsword though.

Thanks for the information. I had my Ninja use the Shuriken today and had good results.
