Note that the first game didn't have them either.

It's literally not about GRAPHICS. The graphics of the game are fine. They're great, actually! The problem here is anti-aliasing. And it kind of doesn't have anything to do with the graphics. It's that the image gets VERY jagged, and it's extremely irritating to the eyes. Even a cheap filter like FXAA would've been better than nothing. THe game looks AMAZING, so it's just tedious that AA isn't implemented, because it makes the game SEEM to look worse than it is.
I use this for a lot of games; works great with Grimrock 1 & 2.
It's super simple to setup. Just copy the files from the d3d9 folder into your Grimrock folder (the one with the Grimrock .exe). I'd suggest editing the injector.ini file: change the SMAA preset from HIGH to ULTRA. Also, set the steam overlay fix option to 1. You can toggle the AA on/off in-game with the Pause/Break Key. Check the Readme file if you have trouble :)
Hope this helps your AA issue.
I think it's a huge improvement.
True Graphics are not eveything..but in the first game since indoors it wasn't really noticable..the first thing I noticed here (the cage when you start) is HORRIBLE jagged lines..
Not game killing but sure makes me go "wtf?" when I open the menu and there are no AA options.
This as well!
Thanks caleb :)
Exactly.. when looking at the cage and seeing the jaggering... horrible... then i was wondering why did i not notice this in LOG 1.... i think because it´s indoor and mostly dark or darker than LOG 2... but AA would be gr8.... FXAA makes the gr8 textures of LOG 2 blurry.. so it´s a no go... does anyone know how it´s possible to force true AA? Driver does not work.. AA bits perhaps?
Yep looks really nice with FXAA enabled. [GOG version]
SweetFX is so amazing... I am always unsure why such a simple post processing isn't just applied to a game by default to enhance it.
This really makes LOG2 look amazing (not that I was too upset on how it looked. It is 10000x better than MMX)
