"completed" game published by another company it is possible that they can't just update that version and instead need to sell it as an entirely new game. This is all just my speculation and I have nothing to back it up however.
By in that thread on LinkedIn, it seems is a partnership for a new game.
Perhaps that will further delay the release date for Alpha 22/Gold Version.
=======================
Our Creative Director David Deschenes is currently in Las Vegas hashtag#TwitchCon with part of our team (Bobbi Burquel and Caroline Prenoveau), to officially present our latest and exceptional collaboration with The Fun Pimps!
Hand-in-hand co-development for a sequel to the famous 7 Days to Die franchise: 7 Days Blood Moons!
========================
Here's some news on the game, based on reading more about it and how I interpret the info.
--The game is called "Bloodmoons".
--This is NOT a mobile game, which is confirmed here by Laz Man:
https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/28129-alpha-21-dev-diary/?do=findComment&comment=542196
--The Fun Pimps are NOT 'officially' developing this game. Apparently this will be done by a third party creator and TFP are simply lending a hand by offering the third party to use there developmental resources and supervision to help support the project.
--Its going to be voxel based world, like 7 days to die.
--The game is going to be a asymmetrical multiplayer game ONLY. No single player.
--It will be a game featuring a 4 vs 1 player format where one player is a super zombie, with other abilities such as spawning in other zombies, and the other 4 players have to kill it before it kills them. The players have to craft, loot, build, etc and then they fight for 7 days to see who the winner is and then a new match begins. Almost Daylight and Friday the 13th style.
--Release date is expected to be around spring 2024
Just to clarify, to my understanding, TFP did NOT announce a new game being produced by The Fun Pimps. 'Blood Moons' is an entirely different game being produced by an entirely different small studio. The Fun Pimps are only supporting the project/team by lending some of their staff and internal resources and company name to help with production of the project.
So, kind of a 7 Days to Die meets Left 4 Dead kind of thing.
Another game in the 7DTD world is apparently planned/in works. According to random people in the internet it's going to be an Asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror game.
AFAIK there is no official information about this game. Consider everything in this thread to be speculation

Reddit post that is also entirely speculation

Your idea has potential but also kind of feels like 7DTD with everything but the trader missions stripped out.
I suppose assuming it would be a dead by daylight style AMSH is presuming much. They very well could go for a Left4Dead style game more akin to No More Room In Hell in it's pace, 4 players escaping, 1 controlling zombie spawns or something.
Not sure why people are making multiple paragraph length on how this game will be (negative or positive) whilst we know the name of the game and nothing else.
Because it's fun to use ones imagination. :)
Also just had a look at the reddit post, but it seems as if the OP has at least some credibility, as it looked like he went to the actual event that the new game was at, and posted a pic of it, as well as it was him posting that it was “5 player asymmetrical horror game”.
Still not making any opinions on the new game though.
It is curious. I signed up for information via their website for it, and have yet to receive any emails with information.
