I will try and keep this first post updated. For now this is pretty much a placeholder as I put them together.

Workaround: adjusting resolution from outside the game on Windows
To adjust the resolution externally to the game via the registry:
Start > Run > regedit
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\The Fun Pimps\7 Days To Die
The values you would want to adjust are (the stuff after the underscore makes no difference):
Screenmanager Is Fullscreen mode
Screenmanager Resolution Height
Screenmanager Resolution Width

Screenmanager Is Fullscreen mode -- 0 = Windowed, 1 = Fullscreen

By default the height and width may be in hex or binary. If it displays in hex with a radio button you can just select the button to switch to decimal. If not you can use Windows Calculator to figure the correct values. I'll list some common height and width settings below.

Decimal value is the number you would normally refer to your screen as.
DecimalWidthxDecimalHeight
Format below is Measurement: Hex Value (decimal value)

1920x1080
Width: 780 (1920)
Height: 438 (1080)

1920x1200
Width: 780 (1920)
Height: 4b0 (1200)

2560x1080
Width: a00 (2560)
Height: 438 (1080)

2560x1440
Width: a00 (2560)
Height: 5a0 (1440)

Workaround: Crash with multiple monitors
If you run the game with multiple monitors you may experience a crash when running the game immediately at startup.
To confirm this issue do the following:
Reproduce the problem, then:
In the steam client.
Right Click 7 Days To Die and select properties
Click the Local Files Tab
Click the Browse local files button.
double-click the \7DaysToDie_Data\ folder
open output_log.txt

You will likely find a line similar to this (different resolutions but same premise and formatting):
desktop: 1360x768 59Hz; virtual: 2726x768 at -1366,0 Crash!!!
Notice the negative resolution. This is usually the good indicator of this issue.

Workaround: Either disable one of the monitors, or switch the primary and secondary monitor.

Workaround: Slow/Unresponsive Menu after selecting Connect To Server
The menu becomes slow or unresponsive after selecting Connect To Server.

The workaround for this is to remove some of the favorites from your list by clicking the stars next to the servers names if you can get to it.

If not an alternative method to remove the favorites:
Start > run > regedit
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\The Fun Pimps\7 Days To Die
In the right pane find the entry that starts as:
"FavoriteServersList_"
Right-Click and select rename.
Change the name to "FavoriteServersListBackup"
Alternatively you could just delete the whole entry.

Known Issue: Internet gets disconnected on program exit
This is related to EasyAntiCheat integration.
This has been reported by mostly Windows 8 & Windows 8.1 users.
Google around for more information/history on this issue of "internet disconnects on exit".

Workaround: I have a SSD and don't want my saves in the User folder
Please see the following thread for how to move the client based save folder:

No Hordes or Airdrops
There appears to be some kind of bug or corruption that occurs when either the server is shut down incorrectly, the server crashes, or the time is changed via the commands. Any one of these has the possibility of causing the bug.

Some intrepid forum goers have found a potential solution though via edits to the main.ttw for the damaged save game.
Check the following thread:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/251570/discussions/0/617336568067943964/

The developers have been notified of the issue and the found workaround as stated in the thread, so potentially a fix may come out.

HandleD3DDeviceLost
This is generally not a real error. In most circumstances this message will be the result of either doing an ALT+Tab to another window, or a pop-up or other window stealing focus from the game.

Deleting Saved Games and Old Save Folders
Many times issues with profiles, the game, or saves can come from old data or corrupted data.
The saves and the data related have moved a few times in the history of this game so depending on what versions you've played you may find data in all, some, or only the last location.
If you are having issues with a current version, it is best to check/clear the prior 2 save locations.
In the Steam Client, Games Library
Right-Click 7 Days To Die
Select and click Properties
Select and click the Local Files tab
Click the Browse Local Files Button

Navigate to the \7 Days To Die\Data\Worlds\Navezgane folder by doing the following:
Double-click the Data folder
Double-click the Worlds folder
Double-click the Navezgane folder
If you see a folder called Saves, delete it.

Type the following into the address bar without the quotes then press enter:
'%UserProfile%\Documents'
If you see a 7 Days To Die Folder (7DTD), Right-Click the 7 Days To Die (7DTD) folder and then Click Delete

This is the current location.
Type the following into the address bar without the quotes then press enter:
'%AppData%'
If you see a 7 Days To Die Folder (7DTD), Right-Click the 7 Days To Die (7DTD) folder and then Click Delete

Clearing the Registry on Windows
WARNING: The Next Steps involve the Registry. You can really mess your system up if you make a mistake or have a problem. Neither I, nor The Fun Pimps, nor any other person on the planet but yourself can take responsibility for following the remaining steps. The following steps are listed for completeness in potential troubleshooting techniques. If you choose not to delete the registry entries, skip to the after the Close Regedit step and re-install the game.
Click Start
In the app finder, or the run dialog, type 'regedit.exe' without quotes and hit enter
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\The Fun Pimps\
Right-Click the 7 Days To Die key
Click Delete
Click OK
Close Regedit

Closed / Missing / Vanished Trader
Vedui has done a video describing the workaround steps for restoring the missing trader while the issue is investigated.
Vedui's thread: [FIX] the Closed Trader Bug | Quick Tips N Tricks with Vedui
Common theory from many is that living close to the trader causes the issue.
My own personal observation is that it is the loading/unloading of the chunk a trader is in when the state is supposed to change. I have had traders I never lived near, or camped near, but that I did pass near when exploring around the time they should have closed who have ended up in this state in an SP game (thus no one else living near them either).
