nope. They're adding to it actually.
If only there was a site on the internet where you could see the roadmap of the game's development...

:D I used to use a similar line on my old boss. He'd ask me a question that would require looking the answer up. I would respond with "If only we had access to a global network of information at our fingertips.... "

To be fair, they change that roadmap every patch. Go look at what the roadmap was when it was in Kickstarter. Then again look at it in A9, or A13, or A16, or A18, or A20.

I think this road map is a bit more set in stone (dates being flexible) as I believe it was part of their certification process.

They sure like to double down whenever they add a horrible system like the magazines and perk books to the game.

That would be nice.

I'm trying to find the road map but all I could find is the outdated picture (outdated because we're almost in 2025 Q2 without that first update that was supposed to happen in 2024 Q4). There are just too many versions of it and I feel lost in the sauce. Where can I find the most up to date road map? I tried Steam Discussions, google, and IGN/Gamespot with no luck. I guess another issue I am having is one that is in more detailed than the more common picture of it.

Click General Discussions at the top of this page.
Click on “V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary,” which is pinned to the very top of the list.

I hope they eventually re-think this asinine learn by reading system because I'm sick of finding magazines over and over and over.

Open a cupboard in a garage - cooking magazine.
Open a cupboard in an office - cooking magazine.
Open a cupboard in a bathroom that's in a bar - cooking magazine.
Open a cupboard in a hardware store - cooking magazine.
Open a cupboard in a military barracks - cooking magazine.
Open a cupboard in the showroom of a car dealership - cooking magazine.
Open a cupboard in a hospital room - cooking magazine.

Boooooring.

End of POI loot room has 2 to 4 crates? Guess what's in them? Magazines.

Loot a few vehicles? Magazines.

Loot a cement mixer? Magazine. In a cement mixer. Nonsense... utter nonsense.

Finish a mission for the trader? Guess what's usually the best choice reward item if it's offered? A bundle of magazines.

Find an air drop? Guess what you're hoping to find, and quite likely to find? A bundle with magazines.

Looting has become an exercise in finding magazines over almost anything else because if you find the right magazines you can craft pretty much everything you need.

Sometimes I'll run a low tier POI and come out with 5 or more cooking magazines. Looting has become extremely repetitive and dull ever since they changed to the learn by reading system because the main things you're looking for are magazines and books and you find them EVERYWHERE. Can't find a normal knife even if I search 30 kitchens because they don't exist in the game - but they should, can't find a pair of pants or a shirt even if I search 30 bedrooms and a clothing store or two, can't find a frickin' claw hammer anywhere and every home has at least one of two of those somewhere, pots and pans and cooking grills should be abundant but they're fairly rare in the early game, but I can find hundreds if not thousands of magazines...

Magazines are so stupid im so tired of the overhauls this game goes through every other patch if this game stayed at any of the good builds and just added content this game would be like 10 years more advanced its so tiring just rehashing the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ im tired of it.

Its the same system they have had since the beginning. The only change is you can no longer level a skill by using the appropriate tools/weapons.

No, it is not the "same system" they have had since "the beginning" and no, that's not the "only change."
