Scarse towns far spawn

Is thete away to set the map so there are very few towns and it spawns you far away from any poi just to make the game seem harder?

The map generation config has changed alot in the past but i think its still possible to change how big a town should be and how many wilderness pois should be generated so i guess you would have to set wilderness pois to 0 and max city size to something like 500 or 250

The amount of towns and citys is propably fixed (not sure tho) so decreasing them in size is the best you can do

Okay I do this in map editor? And is there away that you know how to set where you spaw? Thank you for the info I will be looking at this.

In A20 you'll have many more options to fine-tune RWG like that.
IIRC they also added something about town frequency/type.

Oh I’d love something like that. For me I play on about 75% loot abundancy and it feels as if theirs just too much loot. I’d love it if every POI felt necessary to loot because of the lack of POIS

i wasnt talking about the world editor btw i never used it because it was allways loading very slow on my pc i was talking about XML config edits one could make. if you ctr+f wilderness and city, town etc. you should find the commands that set how many wilderness pois should spawn and one that sets the min. and max. size of different kinds of citys

If that's the case then you posted in the wrong forum section.

I figured out how to do this download kinggen and run it than set the settings how you like I did a 10k map with only one small city and put loot at 50% and hardness at full with zombies all on sprint and wow its way better now with just house here and there one trader and one city with no loot spawn. This is a way better and harder game now for sure. After you make the world go to kinggen folder copy world folder go to 7dtd folder paste in the world folder start new game and at the part you select world just scroll till you find that world and hit start. You can also go to spawn.xml and erase all but one spawn spot or make your own. I made mine as far away from city as possible so you will have a tough time. Yes you can use kinggen

One problem with kinggen is that it doesn't like to generate cities in the snowy biome.

One way around this is to have the entire map be snowy, but then the starter quest for finding a trader will be bugged since it only acknowledges traders in the forest biome and there will be no forest.

Good to know thanks. I havent used King Gen yet. But was planning on using it after I die in this game of Darkness Falls.
