Will there be original Japanese voice acting ?
Just wondering, but I might order it even if it's not the case. I don't think it's too hard to include them but maybe I'm wrong.

Unfortunately, we looked into this and it was not possible for us to include Japanese voice acting. We did wish to have it, but we could not. I'm sorry.

On the matter, would be cool to have an option to change between JP and EN text, though considering the changes i guess that's also impossible.

That would directly conflict the sale of the japanese version, so it is out of the question. As for jvoice, i'm pretty sure there will be a mod out there soon.

There is no point buying it without Japanese voices, sorry.

Not to mention this game is one of biggest series, so will I get the story if I haven't played other ones?
So wait..... this game is not available to people living in japan on steam? Am i missing something here?

It's like FF3, 7 and 8 without even Japanese subtitles. It seems that they don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about games, which they've already completed on consoles. Shame, yet Agarest has original voices.
No original VA? You brought this upon yourself. Don't forget to blame piracy when it flops.

Don't get me wrong i definetly want to support those that put work into voice acting. But denying us the option to just switch between them is just dumb. Like why not just add it as a dlc pack that i can additionally buy of my own accord. Like... let me support the Japanese voice actors too? Is it too much to ask?

ITT: A bunch of people who don't know how licensing Japanese voice acting works and how complicated and expensive it can be sometimes.

I can understand being disappointed in the lack of original voice acting but there's no point in being unreasonable about it and thinking publishers do it just to spite you.

Well, it should be completely different. You pay English actors for their effort, Japanese actors have already been payed as it's original cast, so why bother dubbing it in the first place, I didn't ask for this. I don't want this. ♥♥♥♥, if there is a game, that's not even worth downloading from torrents, it's a really bad sign for developer.

It's not that simple.

This isn't how things work at all. The Japanese actors have to get payed for everything their voices are used in, including overseas releases. Dubbing is usually cheaper than what it would cost to keep the original voices in-game.
So how does it work? I mean are you contracted for a game once and you get a share of each game sold or is a one time payment thing? Adding to that are some VA specificly resticting game publishers to be able to only use their work in certain regions when signing a contract. I'm just kinda confused here....

There were attempts to get the Japanese voice actors in the game, however the licensing didn't work out. Look at what Peytral said just above you. There IS red tape that can get in the way of stuff with keeping the Japanese voice cast.

And despite what you say that they've already been paid for- the licensing has to be dealt with. It might even require another payment to get the contract allowed. There is a LOT of red tape involved in game publishing. It's not just throw the voices in, throw in the English script, release and PROFIT. Not at all.
