i try your game but it makes lot motion sickness.
Scawen Dec 4, 2015 @ 12:52am
A feeling of simulator sickness is possible because the car is moving but when the angle changes you can't feel it. Many people can get used to it and don't feel motion sickness after a while...

Thanks for the test anyway. How did you find the Vive support, at least when you were not moving? Live for Speed's VR support has always been highly rated in the Rift community.

Hello Scawen :D Nice to hear you have added support for the Vive as well! Not sure how many actual Vive users you will find here, if you have a kit you should be able to get access to the SteamVR Developer Hardware forum, where people that actually have the hardware reside for now: https://steamcommunity.com/app/358720/discussions/

Hi BOLL, thanks for your post.

unfortunately I can't post there. Live for Speed is a partnership and doesn't have a US taxpayer ID so it's not possible for us to complete the "on-boarding" process that would allow us in.

I'd be grateful if you could make a note in there for us, to send any sim racing enthusiasts round here to have a go. I'd like to know if it runs as well on other computers as it does on mine! :)

Actually I am just an enthusiast :D I have dabbled a bit in developing, only experiments, but I have no devkit of my own. I do try to keep tabs on the VR forums though, I think VR is way too exciting to ignore.

Currently they have a list of demos for devs to download through Steam, but as LFS is not on Steam I'm not sure if you would like to put the demo there. If you have worked with a partner for this, perhaps using their devkit, don't they have access to that forum? Or perhaps I misunderstood and you mean your own organizational structure.

I know that it's not a must to sell games on Steam to add support for the Vive, they do have OpenVR, but I have little idea how they deal with the developer community interactions and stuff outside of Steam...

Well, they did send me a developer Vive, and that's what I used to do this development.

And they invited us to the on-boarding process. It's just simply not possible for us to on-board, because they don't accept partnerships. We would first have to re-structure ourselves as a limited company. But we are far too busy developing things at the moment, to start messing around with accountants and registrations!

Ah, well now it makes total sense :) I didn't know they had so strict demands for developers to get on board, actually.

Well, I'm glad you guys are in on it, LFS is still my favorite driving experience in VR :D It might be because I value frames per second over much else, but it sure is a solid experience.

I never thought I would have the patience with driving simulators before, but VR has made it the only choice now o.o

Thanks, yes I really like LFS in VR! In some ways we have made it for VR since we started in 2002. It seems very smooth in the Vive on my computer. Still hoping to hear from someone else though! It's a lot easier to get things tested in the Rift community. :D
