it's not ideal but at least it work for some game
I re-downloaded SteamVR, repaired Oculus software because I was using an altered file to remove to oculus dash and go straight to SteamVR and updated my quest itself and it seems to be working again, haven't tried using said altered file again but my best guess is something in the oculus dash is now required to work properly
Still would like major update rollbacks though, PLEASE
I am trying my best to figure this issue out, and yea SteamVR 1.x and using OculusKiller worked perfectly, No issues, but with SteamVR Beta 2.x you can do everything on the menu screen and so on, but if you launch a game, as soon as the game launches the only button that works and the one to get back to steamVR Menu everything else Nothing.
and I dont get it. I will have to Run Oculus Debug Console and see what transpires between
SteamVR 1.x and 2.x ... Just a big headache really.. I even redid the OculusKiller to add in more Logging of Processes and so on.. but cant find anything.. also I checked the SteamVR Debug Report.. but as I said, the Main SteamVR Menu is working perfect with no issues, the issues as everything as pointed out is once you launch a game then the controller buttons dont work.. and I have tried OpenXR steams and Oculus and no go. Unless its SteamVR v1.x,
But yea I am trying to track down the issues.. Would be helpful if anyone that is using the OculusKiller to open the OculusDebugTool and then click open Console, which will restart the Oculus Runtimes, then try and go into SteamVR with and without the OculusKiller and save each log and send them my way.. it would help..
Yes, I am the One that Revamped the Oculus VR Dash Manager and OculusKIller.
Not original Author, but one that took it into my own hands to Update it.. Now I just need to fix this issue.
It appears who ever runs the current oculuskiller git has abandoned it. When i asked them if this software is officially abandonware they simply said it was “odd that its not working”. If you have the knowhow and ability to fix it many of us would be extremely grateful.
doesn't seem like you can pick Beta versions anymore.
just
None
beta - SteamVR Beta Update
linux_v1.14 - Older build, for Linux users
macos_beta - SteamVR Beta Update (macOS)
macos_default - Public default branch (macOS)
oculus_win7and8 - v1.15.12 of SteamVR which allowed older Oculus software
Anyone know how else to revert to an older beta?
