Tried all sorts of things. Removal of drivers, Steam VR, sleeping on it. Still getting issues today. This 422 seems like a strange, not very descriptive error.
Really struggling to find a solution to this one.
Thank you for the reply. After a couple hours of experimenting, I too managed to narrow it down to a possible wireless device issue. I've literally booted up just now to grab a screenshot of the error code for HTC.
So, like you've done, I'll try going back to the release branch first and see how that goes.
Well waddya know! That's done it. Never had an issue with the Beta branch before now, they're usually pretty close to the release.
Thank you again for your input. You've saved me the head ache of sending a perfectly fine wireless adapter back to HTC.
The switch to the non-beta of Steam VR fixed it.
now I'm sure that I have solution for my problem...
if I reinstall graphic drivers with clean install (removing old) then VR will work... I still need to turn off and on power to the VR headset (by unplugging power cable) to make display turn on don't know why .. but it works like a charm every time..
and it holds like a week then I have to reinstall drivers again ...
Right now I had another weekend when VR said "nope" 422 and I could not get it work again and I did not want to reinstall windows again..
then I remembered words of my friend that told me to reinstall clean drivers because he has similar problem with his graphic tablet as third display..
so out of pure helplessness I unplugged my second monitor restarted VR and Voila! headset has lit up.. weird.. I plugged back second monitor and it does not have signal ?? weirder!! ... so is it the drivers ? or my GPU sometimes failing ? I cant say but maybe someone else will figure this out..
