SteamVR/Oculus Rift flicker/flash issue

I just brought the Oculus Rift this afternoon and it works fine in the Oculus program it comes with, but every time I use the SteamVR I get white/grey flashes/flickers constantly to where I can't enjoy playing a game. What am I doing wrong and what type of fix for this is there? I'm sitting 3 feet away from sensor and I also tried sitting further away. My pc meets the min req for running VR (gtx1080,amd fx 8350 4ghz, 62 GB ram, wind 10 64bit,1tb ssd hd)

Hi, I also had a flickering image on the Rift. I have had a Rift since Dec 2016 and had only had flickering in the last week. I wasn't sure if my issue was related to SteamVR, Oculus software or the Win10 Creators update.

I have been able to fix my flickering problem by adjusting Affinity of the Oculus programs as per this forum post.

Yeah, I think it's just with SteamVR and the Rift because I played a Steam VR game from clicking on the desktop shortcut and it worked fine. It seemed to be mainly with non-VR Steam games within the SteanVR menu. For some reason though, the issue seems to have gone away now,

I have the same issue, whenever I try to use steam vr game the screen blinks in and out, playing any other vr non steam it works fine, iRacing, Aerofly FS1, all the Rift apps in my library work great.
