I'm sure that if they bothered to reply to the people thinking that $20, or even $25 dollars, is not super cheap for the insane ammount of content that you get, you'd be very welcome.

the original game costs $25, and there is 4 times as much gameplay, thus it could easly cost $35 so your eally getting 4 times the value for the same price

Oh no I'm not complaining at all, 20% off is a tremendous discount on a three and a half year old 8bit platformer. I mean, 2D pixel platformers are a rare breed indeed and Yacht Club games are extremely generous with their incredible discount, displaying such kindness for the holiday season.

Their trolling is quite impressive.
"33% isn't enough!"
"Ok..." next sale: 34%
Next sale: 25%
Now: 20%

The game in its current state is far from 3.5 years old, but I don't see how that would matter anyway. I also don't see how it would matter that there are so many 2D pixel platformers, because this one still sticks out easily. And I know the discount isn't incredibly signifigant, but like I said, you're getting a ton of content for the price. If you don't think the game is worth it at this price, it probably wouldn't be worth it at any price. I understand that it's the season of giving, but don't expect these guys to show any Christmas spirit. I recommend finding some devs that are less PC if you want to use that argument.

Food for thought, anyone that hasn't already bought it yet is probably the cheapskates (such as myself) waiting for an actual deal having missed getting it prior to the price increase.

Yeah, I understand, I'm a cheapstate as well. But if you're interested in the game, as I keep saying, this should be very worth it, even for a cheapskate.

Considering that you're paying for a well made platformer with 2 additional campaigns that have completely different characters with new mechanics, new levels, graphics and soundtrack...

I'm removing this game from my wish list. I put it there two years ago and it was already a year and a half old game at that time. Here we are in 2018 nearly when every platformer made in 2014 costs $5 or less and they are still trying to get $20 for this. Its clear that they don't actually want to sell me this game.

I own over 1400 games on Steam and only paid $20 or more for 1 of them. There isn't a single game in my 20 most played games that costed me more than $13.49. I typically get less play out of platformers than RPGs or strategy games so I'm surely not willing to pay that much for this game. Opportunity lost.

Even 100 hour RPGs can be bought on the cheap. The content may hold extra value for you, but for some an 8bit-like platformer is only worth so much.

Well, obviously the people who are going to enjoy this game the most are platformer-enthusiasts like myself, so it's probably true that they don't want to sell it to you.

Actually you never wanted to play it in the first place

I've wanted to buy this game for years, but the sales are never good. Seriously Pyre came out this year and is already half off. Shovel Knight costs as much as the Witcher 3, a game that came out later, has far more content and is considered by many to be the best game of this generation. I understand charging 25$ normally with the added campaigns, but not even having the game go 50% off after 3 years is insane.
