No shadows (Integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000)
So, yeah, could my graphics card be the reason that I have no shadows. I have it on max settings. I'm using OpenGL as the renderer if that means anything.

OpenGL is what Blockland only and ever uses. Your problem here is that you have a laptop that uses integrated graphics. All laptops that have integrated graphics cannot use shaders.

Do you only see "Minimum" for the graphics?

Intel 3000 is a really bad GPU. it is unable to run a lot of modern games at all, so no wonder it cannot run shaders

I see more than just minimum, shaders are set to max. And people say it's really horrible, my grahpics card, but then how come I'm able to run just cause 2 at medium settings at 30-45 fps? By the way, here's a screenshot of my settings: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=205260853

even though you are able to select those options, they don't render in the game with such a bad GPU. at @ the just cause 2 part, i have a hard time believing you unless you are running it at a painfully low resolution

I have Intel HD Graphics 4000 and I can run most modern games at a medium-high setting. It's not that bad as you think.

Can you see shaders on the other settings?

Click ~ and see if you can see the console. Then you can snip it and show it to us.

sorry, but how do i copy/paste everything in the console, because there's a lot of stuff in it and I'm not entirely sure what I should show you.

Intel graphics are bad. If you plan to play more games in the future, invest into a desktop with nvidia graphics.

Also, about that thing I said about Just Cause 2; my resolution is something like 1280 x 720, and the settings are more medium-low than medium. But still the framerate hovers around 30 fps.

Nothing I haven't heard before and thought about myself. If you're going to reply, give help, not just say that "your computer is bad"

Please restart your Blockland, then join a server with your shaders on or something.

Go to the Blockland gameapp folder.

Then upload the text files called "console.txt" or something similar and "launcher.txt".

I don't know about launcher because this is the steam version.

why does he need to do this?? its common sense in blockland that intel integrated cannot run shadows...

Ok, yeah, I can't run shadows, but I know that I would be able to, if it would just let me turn them on. I did something like this in a source game, I had no shadows, so someone found a work-around, and now i can run them just fine even though everbody said i couldn't. this is no different.

there is no work-around in blockland. shadows simply fail to initialize if you have intel integrated. period. no possible work-arounds
