To everyone wanting humans
I completely understand your point's. I hate fur's as much as every other sane rational Emperor fearing man. However, after doing some research, this game isnt just about fur's yiffying or being self important, nor is it transformitive game where players can finally be the heretical low beast they want to be, its about so much more.

http://www.indiedb.com/games/overgrowth/news/why-ninja-rabbits

This url link will take you to a very detailed explination of WHY rabbits, further reading is done with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley, the uncanny valley is a phenomina that only results in true humans feeling incredible revulsion to "human like" robots, animations, animals you name it.

This is one of the reason's why the dev's used rabbits in the first place, they are altogether avoiding the uncanny_valley phenomina so that people are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weirded out by the character models.

Thank you for your time and patience reading,

Also, if you hate furries, then you should definitely get this game - so you can kick their asses, cut throats, pierce bodies with spears and throw them off the cliffs! Isn't it great to do such violence to things you hate? :D

P.S. I actually like furries. Just giving it a different point of view.

Typical of the fur's never READING what anyone posts. Such knee jerk reactions is why you are all being HUNTED FOR YOUR HERESY HERESY ALL OF YOU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPxMNjrIGsQ

On the flipside, if you're a furry who's into guro (that is, getting off on bloody death), this game may just be flawless.

While not a furry, I love this game because it's fun and I honestly think the animals are a cool bit of worldbuilding in a non-generic fantasy game.

Heresy? You talk like an Evangelist... Get off the internet. :P I've read, and fully understand, your thoughts on the whole ideal. Unfortunately, you've got some sort of holier-than-thou approach to the whole "Furry" fandom in general. True, the creators wanted to move away from the consistant, and oft-times rampant, use of human-on-human violence in order to add to the intrigue and keep away from said Uncanny Valley Theory. The problem with that theory, which it will remain forevermore, is that there are exceptions to it's mechanics.

Much like the majority of fools that take one look at the public media as they slam the world of furry, you've dismissed the sub-culture as a pack of sex-hungry, transformationalist, 'self-important' heretics that are, somehow, out to ruin your impirical views. So, One; Congratulations on proving yourself to be an asshat and Two; take some time and do real research on a group before you bash them in a public forum because you, sir, have not. Also, save your retort, I won't be returning to this thread to read your backpedalling.

As to the topic at hand, from one "heretic" to another, I'm fully intrigued by this game and will be picking it up at my earliest convenience. It looks like fun, furry characters and all.
Dear lord, im only 24 and i feel ancient when i have to point out to people that the idea of anthropomorphic characters in entertainment mediums has been around LONG before the internet or the juvenile correlation ignorant teenage netizens seem to make regarding anthropomorphic characters and the "furry fandom". Are you people serious? Its a game with kung-fu rabbits and people are yelling "OMG FURRY ♥♥♥ DESTORY, DESTROY".

Did anyone ever watch ANYTHING as a kid that had these kinds of characters? Does that make you a furry? Has anyone put any thought into this for more than a second?

Humanity sometimes.

Not enough blood and no dismemberment in this game - these are the only flaws for those people, I think.

Me too. Not a fan of furries, but I like the good realisations. "Dust: An Elysian Tale" was a gem, for example.

ITT: How to miss the point.
Nice piece of satire, Battle-Brother Lux. And remember, an open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded.

Can't tell religious nut from humorous Warhammer 40K reference :P A tip: the average religious nut doesn't talk about "the Emperor".

And ha wasn't being mean to furries, he was trying to defend the game to people who don't like furries. Because it isn't a game about furries, not because he hates furries. That persecution complex...

Aside from that, I just like running around videogames as an animal. You get cool powers you can't have as a human without technological agumentation (like the bunnies' jumping ability, or a Khajit's badass claws) And you get to experience and learn about a culture with an entirely different basis, for example, rabbits are prey animals, so their culture will have a lot hinging on keeping their villages hidden and well defended from stronger beings.

If it helps, don't think about them as animals, or people in fur costumes, think of them as alien beings.

I don't understand what's so wrong with furries anyway, it's just like any other fixation that humans have. Anthropomorphic characters have been around forever, it's just that some people took the idea to a new level and made a "fandom" out of it. If it doesn't tickle your fancy then just leave it alone, don't go on some opinion slamfest about something that doesn't fit YOUR views, you look like a total turnip when you do that. Anyway, holy hell this game is awesome.

For historical purposes:
It's an internet, 4-chan debate. The furries were pushy, posting their kind of porn insted of the more "generic" kinds of porn, other users get peeved, generally diss furries everywhere, furries outside 4-chan get up in arms about it, and this huge deal starts up with furries growing a huge victim complex that makes them act like stuck up arses every time you make fun of them, and everyone else hating on furries every chance they get, because it's fun to see them rage.

I don't find it amusing or important at all, and neither do most normal people, including most in this thread.
