I have the same problem. Operating in Windows 10. Get the title screen and when I press any key like it asks, the game just crashes.

Having the same issue here. Installed latest java version and un-/re-installed the game a few times.

I used the java -jar Delver.jar command line to create a log. Though it's a long text, I put it in here. Hope someone can help out :)

In another topic about bugs someone mentioned to delete the saves folder. Worked for him an others. Since I have a clean install I don't even have such a folder.

That made me thinking: If the game writes files the first time a new game is started and it has difficulties doing it because in some weird kind of way it just can't write those files ... could it be that having those files from other people might do the trick?
Like, someone who's game isn't freezing while starting it shares his installation folder of the game so we can copy it into our installation folder?

Its worth a shot

Sooo ... who's willing to pack a folder and upload it somewhere? :D
