Blue screen issues
This is funnest game on earth and I cannot play it for over 15 minutes anymore. For some reason after around 15 to 20 minutes everything freezes and a buzzing sound occurs for 2 seconds then I get the blue screen of death and my PC does a hard restart. I would appreciate if someone could help me.

That sounds like overheating/GPU failure.
I believe it has something to do with one of the drives

It could also be your HD failing. Maybe try opening the tower, turn the PC on & game. Try to listen for where the sound comes from or do some tests on your HD & GPU.

I was hearing a weird noise for months and one day my HD died. It never caused blue screens tho. It just made a weird noise and games would stutter.

I actually am having these issues as well
Doesn't do this for any other game either which is weird, I played BF3 for 2 and a half hours, no issue

I have a similar problem. I started playing Bad Company 2 again last night after a long rest. After playing for about 15-30 minutes or so I get the blue screen. I'm running Windows 8 and have no issues with any other game including BF3, so I highly doubt it is hardware related.

I turned SpeedFan on my other monitor while playing the game and don't see any overheating issues.

Maybe an issue with Windows 8 or possibly a memory problem with this particular game. Like I said I don't have any problems running all sorts of other games, so I really don't think that the hardware is the problem.

I fixed the problem, at least it seems that way, but I broke one of my rules doing so. I made more than one change, so I'm not 100% sure which one fixed it.

I backed up my settings.ini file then I deleted the original in the documents/bfbc2 directory and started the game, which creates a new file if the old one is missing. Then I ran with the defaults and the game worked without any crashes. Next I set my video settings, etc. in the games options menu and started the game. It's been working perfectly for several hours now, so I think it is all set. Absolutely no crashes.
ok i will give it a try if the problem continues

I had the exact same issue with Battlefield 3! But i fixed it because my Punkbuster wasn't installed correctly. Either you have the following issues: 1. Your CPU is overheating or its not good enound for the game. 2. You power supply may not be enough for your computer.
For me i had to re-install Punkbuster cause somehow it just kept kicking me out of the server and gave me this Punkbuster error and when i re-join to a server again thats when i get the blue screen. But the common issue could be your CPU overheating to much. Make sure you have good ventilation for your computer. Try lowering the settings? Thats all i can help with, hope it was useful.

Punkbuster maybe? I dunno maybe deleting that file had to do something with Punkbuster? I had to delete a file in Punkbuster which fixed my blue screen on Battlefield 3.
