- reworked internal code, improvements to inventory, status effects, entity audio. - projectiles are now more responsive at close range. close range now works with true hitscan, previously would trace the next game tick. - enemies have new AI movement code that tries to avoid other AI entities. Hi, I am the solo developer of SLINGSHOT PROTOCOL. After three years of work in my spare time I am finally able to share a demo on steam.

This demo is designed to generate possible interest in the game and to gather feedback.

I will be monitoring this for the upcoming month of august. This is the first release of my game outside of small testing. Please report any issues that you may have, it would be of great help to me to assure a good gaming experience. I will plan a first patch mid September based on this, for any problems that might be found.

If you wish to follow the development of SLINGSHOT PROTOCOL. I will upload monthly development showcases on my YouTube channel.

The feeling of the game is really interesting, the bhops,weapon boosting,the weapon feedback is good (the game gravity feel halo floaty like sv_gravity 600). What is not good? - especially the first 2 levels are terrible (look bad , same corridor copy pasted over and over,should take inspiration from half life/quake level design ) -the enemies are bullets sponges and do lot of dmg even at easy difficulty - the hitscan soldiers do react to fast when you peak and they are precise even a easy diff -the mech...

Demo updated to version 1.3

A new update is available for the SLINGSHOT PROTOCOL demo. This update fixes the last major issues with the demo, all related to the AI systems. Improvements - AI Now correctly uses the AI node system. AI can now try and find advantageous positions during fights. - AI flyers now have a build in safety to prevent them from getting stuck out of sight of the player. The AI saves a last valid attacking vector and returns to it if lost. This should, again, prevent them from getting stuck and pos...

Upcoming demo version 1.3

A final update this year is planned for the demo in October. This will be version 1.3, aiming to fix the last major issues with the demo. All related to the AI pathing. Fixes that are in the works: - Prevent AI from blocking each other. - Prevent flying enemies from getting stuck in unreachable places, this is currently the only way during normal play the demo can softlock, that is known. - Get AI node system fully functional, making AI seek cover, hide and retreat....
