I did read the requirements AFTER I downloaded it... and it appears it requires extra hardware.
Like I have been saying, I get through the developer logo's, like, Valve's man's head with a valve in it, etc... then my game immediately closes. I have plenty of hardware to play this game. Q6600@3.4ghz (quad core), 6GB RAM, it's on an SSD, an Audigy 2, and a 7870GHZ overclocked.
So, I guess I will be deleting this to free up space on my SSD, because I'm not paying 200-300 dollars for hardware to play a 6 hour game lol.
From the store page or community hub page, one:
Portal 2 Sixense Perceptual Pack is a free stand-alone game, developed with the Intel Perceptual Computing SDK, custom-designed for exclusive use with the Creative Senz3D depth and gesture camera, which is required to play this title.
Key note "required". The Creative Senz3D depth and gesture camera....is required to play this title
I realize Portal 2 probably doesn't require this, I haven't looked, but this must be a special version of the game that DOES require this piece of camera hardware.
You can not play this version without the 300 dollar camera hardware.
Are you being sarastic about what I said? Because... if I can't play the game without a $300 camera, why would I keep it?
If you are being sincere, I understand, man. They need to change their store page for this game... because unless you "already know" you need that extra hardware, it's not easy to find on the page that you do need it. It is literally the last "required spec" listed.
It's like "dual core cpu
2GB RAM
xx HDD space
dx compliant GPU
oh yeah, and a $300 camera only for this game"
