My main complaint is with the character "deck". They should be treated like the card deck they were. Generally play were you pick from 3 or 5 cards. Drives me crazy when I see the same characters that I had show up with some one else or come back later on after someone is killed. Discard them once drawn until all are used up.
I agree with a lot of comments about multi-tasking during other's turns. That would be very useful.
Finally, bring back the TimeScape expansion !
I hope there’s still plans for that deep sea expansion. We need some ocean or water type mythological creature representation like mermaids krakens or sahuagins.
A quick question: The stats will be retroactive or they will be tracked after the update rolls out?
For future updates, these are the one I would like to see the most. I know these were mentioned before, but maybe they will get more priority if more people mention them. :)
- View cards on the board on other players' turn.
- Card hover tooltip in inventory. Like someone said before it is a little cumbersome now that we have to click the cards then scroll, search and click to see them.
- Some kind of deck editor to create custom decks from the available cards.
These stats will be tracked after the update rolls out - a lot of these statistics are things we've never tracked before in the game :)
Telling us what you want is the best way to make sure we know what the community wants! When we hear requests like this we make sure to note it down, and then when we come to look at what to do next for Talisman, we take all those notes into consideration :)
I've checked with the rest of the team, and the Stone of Lia Fal has been fixed in the patch we're currently working on. Once we roll it out, this card should work properly :)
We're also going to take a look at the spell you mentioned not working - thanks for letting us know!
Hey there! Your runes should definitely not be getting lost when Talisman updates. If you send an email to our support team, not only can they look into what is causing this, they should also be able to restore any runes that you might have lost.
This new profile update should in fact keep a much better track of things like your levels, meaning that this update will actively stop this issue from happening. Which is good news!
Also, I can confirm that you losing your levels is most definitely a bug, and not a feature. Our business plan is "make cool stuff for Talisman", not "Reset people's levels so that they have to buy runestones". The latter would be a pretty crappy business model to be honest, and we're happy to leave those crappy business models to the executives who want to put lootboxes etc. in their games. We'll just keep focused on making cool stuff
This is a bug that's easily fixed by refreshing the leaderboards, as long as you are playing on the same account (which you should be). This catches newbies out a lot, who tend to forget to refresh, play a game, and then panic when they start from level 1 again. Refreshing typically fixes this, and generally the worst that happens is you don't gain the experience of your last game.
Right now, this is a rite of passage for every Talisman DE player, but it would be nice if this bug was fixed as part of the patch coming out which tracks all sorts of new stuff. In fact, it would be nice if a lot more of the choices made when setting up games are saved between games. Right now, remembering to enable your chosen endings and some other details can be a bit tiresome.
If possible, it might be nice if we could save multiple game set ups for our favourite game playing styles, so that we can get into the game quicker. You might have one for a quick multiplayer set-up with a few friends, one for a longer multiplayer game, and one for a super-long single player game.
GOG users will get this update! We'll be sure to upload it onto GOG.
We've only just started putting our titles on GOG, so I'm not 100% on how the update process works - I'll have to check when I'm back in the office tomorrow.
I can however confirm that everything in this update will work for GOG users :)
