Saving DNA?
I'm just wondering, is there a benefit to saving DNA points or spending them as you get them?
For example is it better to buy say Air1, Water1, Air2, Water2 as and when I can or is it better to save up 60+ points and get them in one go?

It depends on the plague. For some, early game is better to build transmissions and resistances to infet the world before being revealed by evolving a symptom, then saving up once you have enough transmissions to suddenly evolve a deadly symptom to kill off the population quickly before they can muster a defense.

Others, like Nano-virus have a countdown immediately, so you have to build to delay constantly.
you save DNA when you go lethal.

cure ramps up fast when you start becoming sever or lethal, so you want to go from "completly harmless" to "extremly lethal" at the same day.

Not really. Severity affects how much DNA you get, meaning you will get far, FAR less if you try infecting the entire world prior to developing any symptoms. The most successful strategies involve striking just the right balance between having enough severity to get plenty of DNA to finish the job, and not having so much that the cure goes on full overdrive before you're ready.

But to OP, when we're not talking about symptoms, yes. It is pretty much always better to get new transmissions or abilities as soon as you can afford them, rather than waiting to get several at once.
