I don't think it's possible but what the heck I'll sign it anyway.

Contact Steam support and throw some legal stuff at them, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Look, you are going to get the full game! They are going to release it. It doesn't matter if the game is not what you expected it to be.

That said, I do hope you will get a refund. But that's something that will never happen. If they're having financial problems then how on earth can they return all the money they have received from customers so far..?

In relation to a mass-refund: The problem with this is that the game has been sold at different prices all over the place for keys.

I can't recall if I got this in a bundle, but I know I got it mega-cheap, so it's likely I got a key from some other site. There's no way they could refund people that got it indirectly.

Not that I want one - hardly touched the game - but just saying it probably isn't realistic.

Steam won't give you a refund if you got the game from another site, in that case you would have to talk to that site. If you however bought the game on Steam they exactly know what you've paid for it and therefore could give you your money back.

Unplayable and I suspected this ♥♥♥♥, the updates were extremely slow.

signed. How can Steam allow Double fine from publish other games on this platform after they failed to deliver this and other games ? this is a shame for double fine and the consumer have just to submit passively. this is not fair.

Hey, Double Fine behaves like a model citizen when you compare it to Killjoy and Irongames (they are the same) who made Air Control and Zen Fish SIM. Those are still on Steam, and probably will stay there like a cancer.

Signed. Steam needs to ditch Early Access or seriously start enforcing harsher penalties on developers. As far as the Tim Schaffer/DoubleFine whiteknighting.. Just stop. It's ridiculous and it makes you look like a complete fool. There is honestly no counter argument that anyone can come up with to plausibly, and convincingly, defend what is essentially atrocious money management by Schaffer and Co. That's what it boils down to. They over-reached, screwed about, and the consumer is flipping the bill. Most countries have laws that protect consumers from such behaviour, so regionally speaking, most of us would be entitled for refund by law. This isn't a game just because it has a 1.0 slapped on it, far from it.

Games not being finished and just abandon is a risk with Kickstarter and Early Access sadly, infact valve warn you of this in there "things to know about early access" blurb. So I doubt you will get a refund

On a positive note though: despite ending development at least they are adding the tutorials and missions etc rather than just going "...... yeah we're out ofmoneybuy!!!!"
Cold comfort I know but, whilst this is bad, it is not as bad as it could be
Mush Sep 21, 2014 @ 8:12am
not happening but yes, i would take it.
i don't care that much about the amount but double fine does not deserve to be paid for an half assed job
erretter Sep 21, 2014 @ 9:45am
Every buyer put his autograph under the terms of use of early access.

With the purchase you signed for:

"I know that my money may be lost, because the devs could decide to abondan their game."

You signed that.
You don´t deserve a refund.

Valve could just give us some steam wallet credits or whatever.

There are warnings and ♥♥♥♥ yeah but it doesn't change the fact that THEY allowed these dev's promises to be writen on a steam page.

Considering steam is a big company they could sue double fine to get their money back (and maybe some extras), something we as small consumers probably couldn't do.
ElfShotTheFood Sep 21, 2014 @ 9:49am
If Double Fine had money for refunds, wouldn't they be spending it on development?
