Why do the capitalists hate me? :'(

I get assassinated by capitalists every time I play Democracy :C Even if I get their bar to half full they still hate me :'( My GDP is always ♥♥♥♥ no matter what I do, I can get it to go up a little bit but every time I play the global economy ♥♥♥♥♥ itself and I get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ :[ Halp <3

Look at the Capitalists happiness and adjust/implement policies to make em happy again. Tbh, I couldn't be bothered to please them.

You are to agressive in your policies, you have to take your time implementing policies that pisses off capitalist.

Being a hard-core, brainwashed capitalist myself I am always in the pursuit of pleasing my people. The majority of decisions you take to their aid ALSO has the benefit of stimulating the country's GDP, which I see as best of both world :D

Here is a list policies that may positively affect the happiness of this group and inadvertly their desire to murder you:
1. Toll Roads - no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea why it makes them so happy, but there ya go...
2, Small Business Grants
3. Technology Grants
4. Tax Shelters
5. Sattelite Road Pricing
6. Private Pensions
7. Import tariffs (don't slide too much though, as you could piss them off with this)
8. Labour Laws (no excesses here either), Gambling (watch out for organised crime) and Enterprise investment schemes. I've grouped these last 3 policies together because they offer the least amount of hapiness...

9. And, lest we forget, the highest amount of hapiness is offered by a stable and strong GDP...... Good luck with that! :D


After each turn you are prompted with a binary choice and if you allow the following it will also contribute to their happiness: fracking, software patents, retail merger, Internet tracking, oil drilling opportunity. Avoid any 'Credit Rating Downgrades' cause these will negatively affect capitalists' oppion on you and on the long-run.


Bassicaly what Capitalists hate is any type of redistribution of wealth (those anti-Socialists!), so things like taxes and state schools/pensions/health services/housing will negatively influence their membership, while things like vouchers, small business grants policy and enterprise investment schemes policy will increase their greed-loving, money-obssesed ranks.

And did I mention to you that all capitalists are fluffy and like cuddles? :)

I think the biggest cause is probably credit rating downgrades and otherwise running up the deficit. I tried just spending tons of money and eliminating all taxes just to see what would happen, and they killed me pretty fast.

Unlike reality in most major western countries, in this game you can't really get away with constant deficit spending, and you can't just keep jacking taxes way up either. In general you have to go slowly with everything.

remove STATE pensions, health care, schools and introduce school vouchers and other policies increasing the PRIVATE pension/health care/schools
