Character editor?
So I goofed and made my ninja into a thief, thinking that I could easily transfer him back. I need to be able to edit just one or two stats to do so. I can't seem to find a character editor that works on 64 bit windows? Every one I try to download says it doesn't work.

Help?

Look for 'Cosmic Forge version 4.21' ... you won't be able to edit your character directly; but the cleanest way would be to use the 'Saved Files Viewer' and then select a drop down for 'Attach to running game' instead of a save file. Edit an item like 'sandal' to give +1 to a stat, invoke the sandal, then take the stat away with the same edit. Problem solved. :)

Flaky it seems. I can't get it to open now, figures!

You can run the character editors, dscheat and wiz7edit, through dosbox.

I realize this is an old thread, but it's something that would have been helpful for me to know.

Even easier is to use the Item Editor in Cosmic Forge rather than the Files Viewer. Edit whatever gear your party has to add Skill or Attribute with infinite charges and just keep donning and activating. Get any Skill from 0 to 100 in 24 repetitions, or any Attribute to 20 in one repetition per point. You can tab back and forth to re-edit your gear for different stats.

For OP's issue of raising a stat, yes I agree. I needed a way to lower a skill and I did not see a way to do that with the item editor so needed to use one of the character editors to do it.

Okay how do you run dscheat through dosbox?
