Marie on Nightmare Mode

I've literaly only beaten her once and I think luck was on my side. Her second and last phase don't give me as much problems as her 1st phase and I play as Fortune and Valentine. But seriously MikeZ plz nerf first phase.

Because of all the fighting games I've played that had final bosses this is the only one with such an unfair gimmick even Akuma from earlier games was hard but he was still "reasonable" Marie on the other hand will send a constant barrage of skulls your way and will keep you stun locked if she felt like it.

Still unneccesary, it's SP not MP.

Unneccesary maybe but that doesn't mean it's not a good boss. Have you even tried to fight her on Nightmare?

Yes, I've already beaten her dozen of times on Nightmare.

If you are having problems with her 1st form, Squigly's j.mk>j.hk will stunt her.

Yeah mainly her 1st form is what I have most problems with but I play Valentine and Fortune.

Then, unfortunatly, I can't help at all... to be honest, I usually just quit the game when I reach her in nightmare :P

End bosses in fighting games are supposed to be broken. Marie is an offender, but not nearly as bad as Rugal Bernstein, Night Terror or...god help me...Gill. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ resurrection...

Shao Kahn is way worse. So is Gill, basically any KoF boss.

But the best thing to do against Marie is find a multi-hitting aerial attack and use that. I think Valentine's air HP does a few hits. Find moves like that and keep doing them, they're relatively safe and Marie's 1st form is way easier to hit than the 3rd and 2nd IMO.

also if you think this is bad, try Marie 300%~!

The boss is really no that hard, you just get to know when to attack and when not to. There's a pretty good guide about that in the guide section.

I do use Valentine's j.HP against her and I can say that it doesn't always work. The problem with Marie here is the rate she keeps deploying those skulls in an unpredictable fashion and you end up taking quite a beating if you get chained with the huge pilar of skulls she throws your way and who can forget the cokblocking skeleton she keeps calling. Also no way in hell will I try Marie 300% since that forces you to use only Squigly and I'm god awful as Squigly.
