For all people wanting refund: Your possible legal pathways
Glad I didn't buy this, had it on my WL quickly removed it after finding out SonicFox is in it.
Furries are ok, but that SonicFox is a massive idiot.

Also if you want a refund due to change in contents begin at BBB, FYI class actions require 100 individuals to participate in the United States but you can try your luck through minor claims.

There are litigation funders available such as Bretham IMF (Just so you know, used to be a shareholder), I don't think this worth 15 bucks but if any of you crazy folks want to do it for the folks, you know money is out there.

1. Email and ask the publisher to refund, politely.
2. Once they have refused, lodge an application through Better Business Bureau (BBB)
3. If you really want to push it, file small claims (very cheap to do)
4. If you are really unhappy with a product issue, never back down always file complaints and let your voice be heard

Additionally, you can complaint to Sonic's copyright holders about possible infringement of their IP Sonic being used in a bad light

Remember you have rights as a customer, today it's just pixels, tomorrow it can be different company updating a game to break it and swindle millions.

imagine filing a class action suit because you got mad at a background npc in a video game
Why do gamers always suggest a lawsuit the instant something minor goes wrong for them.

Holy ♥♥♥♥ get some perspective
It's their money if they wanna file a lawsuit out of grief they are allowed to

Remember a cup of coffee spilled costed McDonalds 6 million, also Subway had to spend $520k defending 10 individuals who claimed subway sandwiches are too short, they all get $500 USD each.

Also, your lord saviour SonicFox advocated suing people too. So why not?

Tips for young players, best one to go for are small amounts because most companies know it's cheaper to pay you off than hiring lawyers to fight it. Highest one I have won is $5000 USD
lol k good luck
If this gets anywhere close to working it's going to expose quite a loophole that most game developers have been vulnerable to, so godspeed on that.

The coffee was hot *beyond* what would be expected due to McDonalds wanting to discourage refills- and due to the temperature she suffered third degree burns on large parts of her thighs, ♥♥♥♥ and groin. She had to get skin grafts and underwent two years of treatment.

The cup thing was not just some fool who spilled coffee on herself and sued mcdonalds all willy nilly. (It is also worth mentioning she only sued them for approx 18k to cover her medical expenses, the company offered only 800, they then refused to settle for 90k, 300k and 225k, and the judge decided she was entitled to more, 2.7m at first but then down to 640k, before settling a lower price outside of court. [The amount is unknown])
Man the mental gymnastics you guys go through to justify racism/sexism is just out of this world.

My understanding was the cup itself was also flimsy. She removed the lid to pour in sugar or cream (something like that) and this caused the cup to pretty much collapse between her thighs where she was unfortunately holding it.

this whole thing reeks of people not wanting to be guilty by association for playing a game that features a figure they don't like in any capacity. good luck getting a refund i guess but this sounds like a major waste of time.

Here's what gets me about your post.

I absolutely hate that you have such a great lack of understanding over IP law that you make the typical error of conflating trademarks and copyrights. And even then, you don't understand the extent to which either apply in their respective circumstances. Bringing Sega into this? This would be laughed out of any legal procedure. Even Sega's lawyers would call you a moron. At best, like you said, you can go to a small claims court, but you must present a reasonable case for your claim.

Here's what you can do: actually study what copyright and trademark are and what their limitations are and what they protect. Seriously, it burns me that so many people are still so stupid about this. What, next? Any games with "Super" or "64" in their titles are "copyright" violations against Nintendo? Nevermind that it's not even a copyright issue in the first place, and those are definitely weak candidates for trademark registration.

For the rest of the people who did buy this game: sure, whatever, find a dumb trivial reason to get your money back on this game, I don't really care. I advocate for consumer rights and if you don't like the product for whatever rationale, within reasonable conditions* you should get your money back. I'm not even buying this game myself. But read up on problems with actions such as frivolous chargebacks and constant/fraudulent returns and refunds.

And stop making that stupid mistake with copyrights and trademarks.
Hoes mad x24
