In the previous server posted, some weird things happen (being banned for no reason) and the server owner is completely irrational and oftentimes tyrannical (sounds hyperbolic, but from my experience, it is not at all).
This new server was made because some person said "nya" and was banned. People called the owner out for being senseless, and they were banned too. The newer discord does not have any of these problems, and you are going to get a lot of help if you seek it. It is ripe with the resources you'll find in the old server, but better. Channels for every character, including messages pinned with extra resources like notable players, sets to watch, and guides if available. It is a shame that the problematic server was made official.
But to stay on topic, the community is not dead at all. it is quite easy to find people online, and there are numerous online and offline tournaments.
