Black Octagons when on Planets?
Ive been playing Space Engineers again recently, but as of lately, there have been these black octagons appearing whenever I go to a planet. No matter if it is spawned or not. When I restart the world or even the entire game, the black octagons are gone for the first 5-10 seconds of the game then they re appear. The octagons basically prevent me from seeing the actual planet. Whereas if i look away from it, they disappear, but if im looking straight towards it, the octagons make the entire screen black. In the screenshots i took, the toolbar and the antenna signals are seeable but nothing more. PLEASE HELP!!

Does this happen in a brand new game without mods?
That would be the first thing to check along with verifying files.

Artifacting from your GPU maybe? Or old or new drivers causing issues?

Missing textures. Not a problem with any hardware.
Right-click on Space Engineers icon that launches the game in Steam > Properties > Local Files
Verify Integrity of Game Files (button)

If the any core game files are missing or damaged that will replace them.

If you're running mods verifying isn't going to fix them. Unsubscribe from mods you have that change any imagry like the way blocks and ships look, the way planets or asteroids and the background "sky" looks. If a workshop item ("mod") is causing this the only way to fix it is if the author, or someone, updates the mod fixing whatever it's doing to the textures.

Remove mods first. Just turning them off in the game isn't going to change it if I'm right that it is textures, the modes need to be uninstalled.

I'll say > Try in a new created world and NO MODS to see if it's the same in ALL.

Tho it looks like a Graphic problem, how old is the Graphic card?

You could share more clues about your computer (the specs) and the world you are loading, what is in your world?

EDIT

I burn my Graphic cards very fast = they die after 5 years or less, well maximum 5 years usually!

Share the game log file = that will give some good clues about what is going on.

Oh! Usually those folders are hidden for not messing with.

to find the how to,
type in Google : "how to show hidden files and extensions Windows 10"

press windows key + r, type in %appdata% it will automatically take you to that folder, regardless wether it is hidden or not.
