Most of the scripts I've seen determine a waypoint relative to the target vessel then using the autopilot's functionality instruct the patroling vessel to fly to that waypoint. This was how the Argentavis script worked. By continuously running this script one gets the appearance that the drone is following the target vessel while it is moving.
The autopilot function has been problematic ever since its introduction. Keen even removed their workshop demonstration item. So you can assume even they concluded that does not work reliably enough to put their name on it.

I already did the missing ammo script. Need to do the fuel. So i won't be abble to make it dock because that's i think a lot more difficult.
I thought it would exist already because there are a lot of good SE scripters out there.
