I'm a Backkicker
I noticed that I can play whole matches never pressing Dive (I run Markman, Redacted, and Kick). It's an interesting way to play the game and eliminates the neutral jump and sometimes the stand-off game. My point in forcing myself to do this is not to react "normally" but to move untrackable to the common player. People ALWAYS go into divekick frenzy when they are close to eat other. It is either over in the first kick or no one wins. I try to avoid those situations with Markman and his kick is deep and slow and his dive isn't high enough. I don't like doing it with Redacted either as her kick is very shallow and can cost you a round unless you have perfect reflexes and precision.

So yeah. Call me a Backkicker. I was thinking a Kickbacker, but something about roaring "BACKKICK" into a headshot just feels so... me. I am a martial arts practioner: one of my favorite moves is the backkick its various forms.

Kung Pao would be right up your alley.
Nope. Can't stand her. I find her as a nerfed Markman.

So I say this, but I give her a try. She floored this guy's S-kill. I wasn't even trying. It was blown away. I'm looking into her more seriously now.

Yes don't do anything while I build my Meter up and teleport in your face with a free headshot.
Funny, i can play the same thing by just using Kick (and if you think this way to play is uncommon, really it's not) but then i'll realise that the other person has all the time to mess me up.
This is an old post that, while still somewhat entertaining, speaks nothing about my skill with Pao now. The whole point was being able to play matches w/o neutral dive. Pao's kk is a great counter against a thirsty S-kill who won't safely build meter when zoned correctly.
Glad to see the update. No matter how good Markman is, his zoning will never feel as fluid. There's something satisfying about the way Pao controls the space in front of her and forces mistakes. The S-Kill fight is lots of fun, but don't get parried.
The best strategy is to have no favourite strategy. If you keep using the same patterns you will be caught.
And yet, a good strategy is to make people believe you fall into a pattern, they count that pattern, and you counter it respectively. I say, play into false predictions.
