Cannot look around with a gamepad

Hello,
an essential part of racing is to be able to turn head. It is necessary even when driving alone a road vehicle at low speeds. But the camera stick on my controller does not do anything. There are commands to look left and right. Alas they are unusable on gamepad as they are mapped to a d-pad, changing one's view requires "putting hands off a wheel". I cannot prevent car collisions like this...

Install Helicorsa app and CrewChief and you'll never bother again looking around where are your opponents. Btw. Content manager has settings under CSP/Neck FX for assigning right stick to look around your car.

helicorsa the best way on doing this, as advised by mmmarac. D-pad isn't working by default, but I wouldnt even bother ...
