I love Sid Meier's games, but this one looks a it odd (good or bad)

Is it wroth getting, what do you do and how do you play it.

If you're into the genre, excellent. But it crashes (for me) at the end of missions and campaigns and it isn't a flight sim, but depicts the air war in a refreshingly playable way. I wish Meier would do more stuff like this.

Even a lot of people say that's a casual game it needs some modfications for me like longer campaings, Perma-death and longer squadrons.
