Hi mellomaniac, dev cheats only work in developer mode (yellow play game icon) and are mostly the following:
left alt + right alt + F = leave/enter character
left alt + right alt + left mouse = in free fly cam, spawns a flying rock from your camera
mouse 4 + left mouse = drag physics object
spacebar = open/close editor

The last is most important, as it allows you to spawn vehicles, inventory items, and also delete them, as well as move them around.

When does enter editor work? I'm in a developer mode save... and pressing space obviously makes me jump lol.. So I thought ok, maybe it's when you're in free-fly? Tried that, doesn't work there either. So I remapped F2 and that didn't work either. I think I must be missing something?

Even if it's a developer mode save, you still gotta click DEV mode in the game's launcher. The one with the hat. You can access the editor by pressing Space while in free-fly.

Yes, I thought of that. So I quit, reloaded in dev mode; went to free-fly cam and still no joy :-/... Anything else I might be missing?

Nope. Dram oughta be able to help, though. He'll see this soon enough :P

Hey Dasherk, interesting, it should be working. Basically you need to be in both developer mode and in free fly camera, then just press space. If you remapped it then it should work as that of course, but I'd suggest trying default controls, then press space. It should work :)

Ah, hmm... Well, I did reset the controls to default. So what it leaves is a bug I believe. I saved the game, reopened in Dev Mode from the launcher, got into freefly (which shows the customise mineable materials menu) and pressed space - no joy.

It's not a big deal, but I could try and upload the save somewhere. I also noticed I got a nasty framerate drop playing in dev mode, not sure if that helps.

Oh, my machine is rather beefy lol.. its got a i7 4770S, 16GB and raging gpu.. interestingly, the framrate drop is in just one area of my base for the most part

Oh. Jesus Christ, you've got the eyes of a hawk if you see low FPS on that rig.

well thats the thing then eh? I get an insanely brutal drop. I haven't checked exactly what it is, I guess I'll open up FRAPS or the like and track what it is and hopefully grab a clip.
