Help us translate Steam

I suggested this to another user here once also, except in my case it was to use CFF explorer to set the .exe to large address aware. Basically, it's the same thing :

try it my way and tell the story.
the other discussion does not tell the right .exe to edit.
I will try it using the one you suggested soon, though.
if it was the same thing i would have not posted it. call back if/when you try it my way, so we could have a "constructive" discussion (:D)
can you suggest a way to brake the game after the fix, so that i can confirm, if it really works?
As far as breaking the game, what happens in my case, and always has, is the C++ runtime error happens about every 4 or 5 battles, and my game crashes. It's works perfectly fine otherwise for me. So I cannot suggest anything other than simply playing normally, for those 3 or 4 or 5 battles (it's random).
I got into the habbit of just manually saving before each fourth or fifth battle, and expecting it to crash. This is the Steam version, and I have had it under different operating systems, too.
If this does work though, I will be very grateful to you, as I have looked for a way to fix this game for years, and never found a permanent solution.
i had it before even on first battle and on the world map just by scrolling around.
it does not happen anymore. just a bit of locking up at start of some battles instead.
Never had any crashes on the campaign map. I am anxious to try it now, and promise to do it just as you have suggested, and will reply here when I do and as to what happened.
I will verify my game files, to be sure they are in a totally vanilla state, and then apply the patch and play for a while, and update here when I do.
Thanks again.
That is what I get now, after implementing this change. I deleted my .exe files, verified the game cache to place my game in a totally vanilla state, then applied the NT Core .exe change to just the launcher.exe file only.
The game won't even run from my library now, and I seem to remember seeing this error before, in some of my many attempts through the years to fix the game crashes.
I would be happy to see any suggestions you might have. I set the .exe files to run as administrator, too. No change. As soon as I restore the backup of launcher.exe created by NTcore , the game runs perfectly fine from my library.
EDIT...
However, it may be interesting to note, that by using the method I posted in the other thread, I can at least run the game and play fine.....until I get the crashes, so that does not work anyway. Just an interesting thing to include in the fact collection to try to figure this out.
EDIT 2...
Since this last edit, I have restored the vanilla launcher.exe and applied the NTCore patch to the KingArthur.exe file only now, as I was thinking that the launcher only launches the game anyway and gets to the menu screen. After that, when you actually run the game from that menu, the KingArthur.exe file is what is utilized.
Since I don't get the crash at launch or in that menu screen, I decided to try it this way, although I am pretty sure I have tried this before with that .exe also, using NTCore only also. I have tried so many things over the years, I forget what I have done, so I will try this again and keep this updated. At least "THIS" way, the game runs from my library fine.
EDIT 1
So I tried the 4gb patch and is not working in the launcher. If you apply the patch in the launcher it doesnt even start. Then I tried the patch on the KingArthur.exe and I can play but the crashes before or after the combat still there. So... I am asking for a refund :(
EDIT 2
Steam refused my refund. I cant fix it.... Any suggestion?
Yea, you played for more than 2 hours (10 hours).
https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/
Sounds like you are in the same boat that I have always been in. The NTCore patch makes the game not able to launch from Steam, but without it, you can launch the game, but may get the crashes later.
I guess I am kinda lucky, because my crashes at least let me play 4 or maybe 5 battles before it crashes.
My advice ? Save often. But at least the game has a good autosave feature.
If you really want to try again for a refund, see this, make another request, explain the issue clearly and be short, to the point, and above all........be very nice.

also my hardware might be different.
i keep all and only the latest versions of c++ redists.
my game shows as version 1.07
launcher is not a launcher its the actual executable
In other words, I appreciate you trying to help, and admit that it can be related to these types of differences.
