Omikron - The Nomad Soul

Omikron - The Nomad Soul

For those who dont know
www.gog.com

Need i say more? Well then i will! Steam is great and all, dont get me wrong! When it comes to cheap and older games, gog has it beat. The only reason i bring this up is because no one is a fan of drm and if given a choice i would rather pick gog for my games over steam any day of the week. Im not affiliated with or work for gog at all, im just trying to bring awareness for those who dont know. So please check it out!

So the next time you consider picking up a older game on steam, see if gog has it.

Many people (like me) would buy it on Steam anyway. Having all your games in the same library is what makes the difference.
I heard* the Gog.com version has some in-game music removed. Is that the case here as well I wonder?

They are the same version
The demo has David Bowie music removed. The full game isn't lacking AFAIK.

GoG.com is not only cheaper for everyone that can finally pay in USD, it also packs extras that are not in the Steam version, and it is DRM free.

Say for yourself.
The Steam version fixes the sneak bug and doesn't have an added sky bug. The Steam version is already better than the supposedly better GoG version.

What sneak bug?

The sneak would be way too laggy to use, which would then make the game unplayable because of how laggy it is.
Never had that issue

The Steam version is the GOG version you know just like every other re-release that has been hitting Steam for the past year:Thief 1 and 2, Tomb Raider 1-angel of darkness, Septerra Core, I have no mouth and I must scream, the Legacy of Kain Games, System Shock 1 and 2, Anachronox and so on.. just ask Timeslip who did the fixes for the game among a few others in that list.

It is the same version, it even uses the same colour banding fix and has the same issue with the fix dropping whenever text is displayed (you can see it on the skybox)

I only know of the Dreamcast version that had some stuff removed, though i'm not sure if it was any of the music.

Yes, it was the music. Anekbah was even spookier without it, there was just a bit of ambient noise, not more
The Dreamcast version had the music tracks from the locations removed for some reason. When exploring the city poritions, there was only the general ambient track, not the specific looping music tracks that play in the PC version. The other small difference is that in the DC version, the ability to call a slider and manually control it was removed.
