Yes, in KR games, it did not become popular for several reasons:
- The game had nearly no features as it is now; you couldn't even matchmake to dungeons.
- Bots were everywhere and unstoppable (it is unclear how this will be addressed here).
- The game was overhyped, leading to the creation of too many servers that did not match the population.
- Many players were playing from outside Korea with accounts that they lost or were banned because sellers logged in to do dodgy things and linked them somehow (I personally lost two accounts). This impacted server population and the health of gameplay significantly.
- Some Koreans did not want to deal with other nationalities, which is typical behavior in any country (not singling anyone out). This led to players dropping from the game or other issues.
These were the main causes for the game's flop in the first month or two, and recovering from such issues is difficult.
Now, the game is coming out in the Western market with more robust improvements, features, functionality, and mechanics compared to its Korean version.
If you have been following the news and changes, you would know that a lot in the game has changed for the Western release. They have even changed combat mechanics based on feedback from the Western market. This shows they are aiming for success in the Western market and will likely continue to adapt based on its needs.

Is that supposed to make me not want to play the game? You people xdd
so either the game is getting improved on both versions.. or its releasing exactly like KR version and dead?
How does it affect us, my dear friends?
We will see, for now no one can tell what will happen.
In contrast, outside the server issues, TL beta is mostly well received with the newest KR update getting praised by (EU/NA) players on KR version, which we will get in our launch version.
Best rage-baiters have in their arsenal is not reading anything, not looking in the shop in the beta test and only going of misleading half truths based on KR monetization.
Zzzzzzz you should spend more time thinking constructively instead of talking to yourself about a game you don't own.
