Sir, You Are Being Hunted

The Application Sir Quit unexpectedly
attempting to open the game causes my computer to freeze for a few seconds then display the message above. The game never starts, and clicking the play button causes nothing to happen. I am a mac user for now and this is really 'bugging' me....

Hi - sorry to hear you can't play the game. Which version of MacOS are you using?

On MacOsX 10.8.5 and the game won't start. Similar problem. Icon bounces on dock then goes to "not responding"

Could you try launching the game directly (not through Steam) and let me know if that works? We have a suspicion that the Steam overlay is playing up on Mac at the moment...

When I try to launch the app sir_alpha outside Steam, the same thing happens. If I go to "view package contents" and launch Contents/MacOs/SirYouAreBeingHunted the terminal launches and I get (with [USER] being my username):

/Users/[USER]/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/SirYouAreBeingHunted/ ; exit;
Mono path[0] = '/Users/[USER]/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/SirYouAreBeingHunted/'
Mono config path = '/Users/[USER]/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/SirYouAreBeingHunted/'
Receiving unhandled NULL exception

Native stacktrace:

Debug info from gdb:

Got a SIGABRT while executing native code. This usually indicates
a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries
used by your application.

Abort trap: 6
