Verdun
What does he say ?
I've played 1500 hours of Verdun now (only 1500 ? It feels like 1000s more) and I learnt something today, that is, when you shout a taunt or battle shout, what you say isn't what others hear. I am somewhat gutted by this, all this time I thought I was boosting the men's morale, when for all I know, I could have been saying "I've seen French school girls shoot better" the whole time !

But anyway, the reason of this post and the reason I discovered that fact came from me asking a friend if he knew what the English say in a particular taunt/battle shout. I then repeatedly clicked on them until I heard the battle shout "Go back to your Kaiser, he'll be
......... ? That's the point I have no idea what he says. It sounds like lighter than an Ocelot or something lol If anyone knows or cares to let me know, I'd appreciate it. But that's when I learnt about the difference between what's said and what's heard, because my friend didn't hear that insult when I finally managed to trigger that one.

Anyway, I'm just curious to solve this ancient mystery.

cheers 😂👍

As the old saying goes..."It's all quiet on the western front ?"

Hello Shaun, I had a listen at the British voice lines. The voice is indeed hard to understand due to the slurring. After a few repeats, I'm almost completely certain it's "Run back to your Kaiser, it'll be nice on us lot!" I can't find any line which says "Go back to your Kaiser", so I think you meant this.

Mate, you are a gent, it is that taunt and what you think he says sounds right. I very much appreciate the fact you went to the trouble of studying that, to provide an answer. You have put the mystery to bed ha ha Bravo
