Help with 2 squads squad def (custom)
Hi, I'm sure someone here knows about this, but how do you make 2 squads on the same side for squad def?

I know how to increase max players to 8, but when I tried one player ended up on the wrong team, charging at us.... lol

Is it because I need to disable team balance?
Anything else I should know?

If you have tried this before I'd appreciate your help.

BTW, it would pretty much solve the issue if there was a command to disable all squad types for either entente or central. I don't have high hopes for this to get implemented though, I was just saying...

I've played with 5-7 other players in a custom Squad Defense match before. Team balance should be off by default for custom matches but I'm thinking that if it was turned on, explains why the other player ended up on the bots' team. (Maybe there just shouldn't be the option to turn on Team Balance for SD)

IIRC, the extra 5+ players will be placed in a new squad but won't be able to play until the wave has ended. The Scoreboard doesn't really support more than 4 players too btw.

Have you tried setting the match up with a single squad type for your team and the enemy team as well? (e.g. Set Central to Landser and Entente to Tommies from the Custom Match Menu)

If you add more squad types to either team, you won't be able to change your squad type (or switch teams) after the first wave has started.

P.S. If you disabled ALL squads, the enemy wouldn't be able to spawn technically I guess.

Literally all I did was create the match with the option to have only Chasseurs for Entente (the option in the menu), change my squad to Chasseurs upon entering the game (because custom match randomly picks any squad available), and then use the command /setroomsize 8.

Then I suppose 5th player joined and ended up on Central, but a few left the game before that player could play. So I could actually see the player on the scoreboard.

That player confirmed not being on our team. Then I saw that player charge at us (obvious different behavior compared to bots), shot said player and saw "1 death" appear on the scoreboard immediately.

I will also add that on the scoreboard the icon for one of the roles in one of the german squads (I think it was Pionere) was displayed for this player, while the others had Chasseurs icons.

Maybe team balance is now enabled by default?
