Why not add an Italian Squad?
They would have new weapons, as for rifles they would have: Carcano M91 with M1891 Sword Bayonet. As for pistols, they would have: the Modello M1915, Bodeo Model 1889, Glisenti Model 1910, For automatic weapons they would have the Villar-Perosa M1915. They would also have their own grenade: the Bezossi M1915. Historically speaking, they were mostly deployed around Reims, aka St. Michel.

A few problems.

II Corps (the formation you're suggesting) did serve on the Western Front. II Corps was comprised of the 3rd and 8th Divisions. However.

The St Etienne Mle 1907 would be considered in Verdun terms a Medium/Heavy Machine Gun, like the Hotchkiss Mle 1914 (which replaced it in French service) and...

"The 8th Division was equipped with the French 1907 F (Saint Etienne) light MG, but this weapon was retired and substituted with the Italian Fiat MG"

Neither the M1870/87 (from Tannenberg) nor the M1870/87/15 (in 6.5mm Calibre) would be used by II Corps, as they were a hardened, frontline formation, and the Vetterli was obsolete and issued to second line units only, especially by 1918.

There is conflicting evidence on whether the Beretta M1918 saw service in the First World War, and almost certainly was not issued to II Corps outside of Italy.
I'd like to see them add a third game featuring the Italian front. Also would like to see Serbia featured in some early war maps.

I don't think separating player base even more is a good idea. Tannenberg is already and you hardly can find a full server. Italian front just wouldn't have enough content to be a standalone game.
