As Bishop says it depends on what your looking for. BF1 is a more action packed game with awesome visual maps, while Verdun and Tannenberg have.... decent visuals for the early 2000s. BF1 is also a Arcady more or less run and gun some what Tactical game play themed game, while Verdun and Tannenberg are more both big riddles messes that “try” and have squad based team work but the game even fails to work that out. I’d personally go for BF1 especially with the release of their 3rd DLC coming out in a couple weeks (it’s paid but completely worth it!). So I’d recommend BF1 + it’s season pass to get the full experience with all its cool content. Now if your looking for a more historic feeling to the game thn BF1 isn’t for you (even though it has pretty awesome historical information you can unlock and learn!).

Gameplay is more realistic in BF1, you can't jumpshoot in BF1, and hipfire actually makes sense

agree, verdun is cold, fake, artificial.

Short Summary about Battlefield 1 (around 150+hours played, mostly boltaction and support):
->Heavy Tanks OP (as anti-tank i feel useless), same with light tanks
->Camping Snipers everywhere
->Boltrifles only availbe in Scout-Class
->Not very WW1

BF1 is just another BF with uniforms and guns from WWI, it have the same gameplay. Other side is Verdun that offer to you a experience so different and funny with a squad system and a good teamwork; it's more realistic and coherent than its counterpart bf1, you are looking for a WWI exprience, buy Verdun, if you arelloking for a BF gameplay with WWI guns , buy BF1
Bf1 pros
- Vehicles
- Graphics
- More forgiving
- Larger maps
- More fronts covered

Verdun pros
- Much better price
- More weapons
- More historically authentic (in terms of uniforms, weaponry, and setting)
- More confined maps make for a more intense experience overall in my opinion

Both are very different and offer different features. I personally play both and enjoy both. It depends on what you like in particular.

Oh so BF1 is more realistic as of gameplay? So please tell me, where in WW1 did you see tanks flying 50km/h, MP18 with bayonet, hipfiring while RUNNING with 25 kg (or more) heavy Lewis or other heavy MG, Gewehr 89 that can't kill the foe by one shot if not shot in head? And I can continue with these, like what seems to you realistic about every nation having totally the SAME weaponary, full of automatic weapons from which most have never been ever used in WW1 (not widely, like MP18, or even not ever, like those experimental SMGs).
Oh and I haven't even begun to name those historical bull**its, like black german soldier running with M1911 sidearm. Seriously, what is this? A history r*pe, that's what.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like BF1, it's a really good game, but it has nothing to do with WW1 - end of story.

It has realistic map damage unlike Verdun. Either than that there isn’t anything really.

Also I would say it’s a mockery of ww1 rather a video game portraying the war it’s it’s own unique war, like how games always try and do.
