TAKE CARE WITH THE NEW GESTAPO/KGB REPORTING SYSTEM IN VERDUN
Sorry for the big capitals, but here we really have a big issue: The DEVS have made a reporting system where everybody can report other players for "cheating"; I don´t know how many times I have been called a cheater, yet my only crime is that I have played the game since 2015 and therefore know the frontlines and loopholes very well now.

I hope that this not will be a youtube/facebook-band program where you can get expelled for nothing. May I hear closer about this topic, DEVS.

Thx in forward

We have always received plenty of fake reports for players who are just good at the game. As you would expect, we did not ban players who didn't cheat.

This reporting system allows us to see issues players have faster and act faster on them. That does not mean good players will be banned for no apparent reason. When we see reports coming in, we will investigate the issue.

Regarding the report system, can you go into detail about the "offensive name" requirements? I've seen players with questionable names, but what exactly does it cover?

How exactly will the devs investigate hacking reports? Are recordings of the game saved for further review? If not I have no clue why you'd even bother.

This is a good point, I'll see if we can draw up some basic guidelines for this. For our community rules we refer back to the Steam guidelines, but I'm not sure that's clear enough. I don't think we're going to be warning people for harmless alcohol references, I think it'll be common sense really. Avoid hateful, racist, or curse filled names and things should be fine.

EDIT: There will also be no automatic bans based on reports, only manual action by administrators in response to multiple reports.

Good point, in deed.

Reported several times a player, who was promoting a webside selling hacks for Verdun. Player still around, name unchanged. So seems this is not against the rules.

if you mean the "v3rdunhax.ru" joke, it's just that. It's been around for years apparently, I still see squad names and players named that. The website is obviously fake and it's just people messing around, not actually promoting cheats. The few people I'm aware of that were advertising real hacks were banned.

OK, silly question here, and I'm not going to name names, but is there a hack going on that enables you to see through terrain and shoot through it? I've been hit when at the bottom of a shell hole a few times when no one was remotely near me. It could just be a glitch in the game that allows random bullets to penetrate deep into terrain though.

There are videos available of such a hack, players shooting into the ground getting kills

Noticed something similar, standing inside the fort (concrete walls around me) far away from the window, which was blocked by thick gas from the outside, so no visibility in any direction. No enemies inside the fort.

Suddenly got shot. Asked the player how he made this, said "just luck".

Kind of similar situation with the same player on another map, thick gas, and he / she seems to have clear view. To snipe a prone player deeply hidden inside a crater.

Aimbot, used wisely, can not be identified in the way the Devs do.

it would be nice to see what weapon kills you when you die. a guy thought i was cheating as i killed him while he was hidden but i just used a grenade.

Can be seen. On the top right, is written who kill whom with which weapon.

It's also possible in Tannenberg. Might need to turn the kill feed on in the HUG options.

yeah, but having the killfeed enabled at all times can be distracting, i meant it would be cool to have the name of the weapon that killed you appear on the screen when you die kinda in the same way it specifies what weapon you used to kill others.
