Verdun playerbase: https://steamcharts.com/app/242860
Tannenberg playerbase: https://steamcharts.com/app/633460
Neither game is particularly large, but Verdun's is noticeably bigger especially when you actually try to play. Although I will say this, if you intend to play on a server like Asia or Australia be prepared to see virtually nobody as Verdun's playerbase is almost exclusively limited to North America or Europe. You can play on these regions of course but obviously your ping would be quite high. This problem is only even worse in Tannenberg, to the point where I've seen even the US servers pretty much empty.
No, this is not correct.
There were more people online and the average skill was better. Today a lot beginners are around who do not know the basics of the game.
If you just want to have fun playing with bots offline get Tannenberg, its maneuver gamemode is superior to frontlines(when playing against bots).
Wow, if 150 players peak in Verdun is more than in Tannenberg, wow Tannenberg must be poor.
Both games have very small active populations, unfortunately. I stopped worrying about it a while ago, and just accepted that bots are the way forward these days.
I did not buy and I will not buy Tannenberg. Just so disappointed by the Development Team's performance with Verdun, I will not give any money to them again.
Well, all I can say is, good luck in finding another WWI game like these ones. You won't, just in case you were wondering.
Not so much competition in this niche.
But still some errors which are there since Beta or even earlier.
That's because most developers won't touch this particular war with a ten foot barge pole. No clear good guys or bad guys, and America only enters when it's almost over. We should support those few who take the risk with this time period.
As for those long standing errors, which ones are you referring to exactly?
MG's glitching into terrain
Bots being invincible (has been happening since they were added)
Random server crashes and disconnects
Spawning into terrain, under the map, etc
Hit reg and netcode that has always been poor
Grenades exploding away from where the actual model is
Wex doesn't even work (this one is more recent but figured I'd add it since it's been brought up at least once a week for months now)
And that's just to name a few, if you want more I'll be happy to expand that list.
