New ladder climbing feature (bug?Ofc no - there are no bugs around)
Apparently, in new update ladder climbing got some rework and now if you jump from out of trench inside one and happen to have ladder in your trajectory youll get sorta glued towards it. Plus moving sideways next to ladder will have same effect on you. In the end i want to admire iron will of the dev team who despite all criticism and obscurantism and shrinkage of playerbase continue to roll out updates which affect game in unthinkable manner and make vets cringe looking at such

why dont you just go then, if you feel the DEV's have failed...leave. Why would you continue to play and worry about something that you feel is broken and will never be fixed. If you are tired of getting burned take your hand away from the stove.

I personally think they have done a remarkable job thus far, there have been issues, but what game doesn't have its issues. The reason I play this game is the war in which it is set in. I am, was, and will always be a history buff and my particular era of interest will always be the Great War. I commend the DEV's for the attention they have put into the details. The stories of the war resonate more with me than the combat therefore gameplay itself will always be a secondary feature for me. As I play this game I can see the stories unfold, I can hear the voices, and see the faces.

I've always felt a boots on the ground attachment to the great war, sometimes my writings lead friends to question whether I just knew what I was talking about or whether I was actually there.

As I said, gameplay is a mere side effect for me, this game tells a story...it can tell all the stories.

Everything is said. Some people love what it used to be an indie gem, promising and destroyed part by part.
They still like it and hope the devs to realize they did mistakes. These are Verdun players.

Rest is there because of WW1. They dont like the game itself, they like the era and supposed realism.

If a ww1 red orchestra is released, devs will see how much theses actual bootlikers like the game in reality, and how fast they gonna burn their ancient fetish.

Im very touched by your sharing of how you feel and what you seek of this game (or not). However my goal was not to collect deep feelings and insights but to report a bug (or feature)

No, yours, as always is to do so in the most malignant manner possible. You can't make suggestion to the DEV's without first insulting, no wonder they are trying to distance themselves from guys like you. Who wants to be insulted? And as far as your return comment, sod off! I have seen pigs with more tact than you and those like you.

Oh and Good Goy, those who are here for ww1 wont abandon the game just because Red Orchestra makes a ww1 mod. I enjoy both the game and the subject and many other like me do as well, it is executed well and unlike tripwire they don't abandon their projects.

Once again I say if you guys think the DEV's destroyed the game....go and dont let the door hit you on the way out!

Bon Voyage and may a meteorite fall through your lifeboat in shark infested waters

No actual code was changed regarding the ladders, only the collision model was adjusted which prevented sometimes you to climb the ladder. This is no new behavior but I guess it exposed some behavior which is undesirable. We would love to have a look at it and therefore I created a report on the appropriate place here: https://support.ww1gameseries.com/communities/1/topics/2515-ladder-sticking-too-much

It would be great if you could provide further details on what you do not like and would like to see regarding the ladders. Now I am closing this thread before it steers away from the actual topic as we can continue on the bug report on the bug tracker.
