No, it saw no use in the war.

I think it would be bad to give up on historical accuracy, when the game is built upon it.
While it would be historically inaccurate the game already has the mp18 and B.A.R which were invented years after the battle so it wouldn't be be that bad

They were both used in the war so they fit the game.

I think you need to familiarise yourself with when the Mp18i and the M1918 BAR were introduced and in which battles they saw service. You may be surprised...

They were rare, certainly, but were used. The MP18s only major use was one the first day of the Kaiser Offensive, when most were lost. I am hoping Verdun x64 does that one day. 8 squads of Canadians vs 8 squads of Stosstrupp, all level 100, with all weapons allowed(since it is 1918). The chaos of a battlefield completely covered in gas and grenades and with people running all over the place would be epic.

No they weren't. None were shipped to Europe. It saw first army trial in October 1918 before being ordered, first rifles delivered in December.
I think he meant that the BAR and the Mp18i were used, but you are correct about the Pederson Device, Bishop.

I meant the MP18, not the Pederson, whatever that is.
