So...master?
edit: ranks beyond platinum are diamond, master, and grandmaster, and grandma or whatever idk
If I'm Bronze this week, I will respect players higher than Bronze, if I'm Master I will feel the same way about Grandmasters and if I'm Grandma 50 then I will feel the same emotions to want to improve so I can beat the remaining players infront of me. If I'm number 1 and no one brings me a challenge, then I get bored and quit playing competitively and just have fun
Common consensus on this topic is "everyone below me is bad at the game, everyone above me is either a cheater, a no-lifer or both"
Yeah, skill or knowledge is accumulated overtime so that's what "good" mostly equates to, unless stupid or lazily just spamming whatever build.
Currently stuck in diamond peak was 82.
Sometimes i just hit things with Sales and sometimes not.
Sometimes i easily kill people with the same loadouts and sometimes i just lose.
Noticed that too, when starting out as a noob, I breezed through ranks until I got my first lost at high plat
With 30 hours played I've gotten to low diamond with both characters, is this good or just average? Hard for me to say. I watched Kripp play some and he fluctuates around mid diamond, while being an experienced player of this type of game.
The system doesn't make much sense to me unless Diamond players are also regularly queueing into Bronze, Silver, Gold players, meaning ELO isn't actually used for matchmaking. Then the system makes more sense but from my experience this is not what's happening, the boards at diamond/master are almost always meta perfect, nothing I would see at low ranks.
Normally with a >50% win rate playing against equal rank opponents you should climb, but that's not happening here, which is why I believe so many people are stuck at Diamond. The expectations of the system are too high, I dom't think there is a Bell curve in rating but it's very much skewed to the right, with most people facing a barrier at diamond.
