once I test the game I will let you know how my gameplay is and how smoothly it runs
future plans for my computer
-new graphics card: the current one is a pretty low class graphics card which needs improvement
- expand my memory to 16 gigs
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750
I run The Forest on all high settings, except with motion blur disabled. Game runs extremely smooth
I used to have that exact same card. I had it up until a week or so ago and switched it out for the GTX 750 i now have.
Is The GTX 750 a big improvement?
edit:
do you get a huge jump in performance?
It's a huge improvement, but the 630 worked pretty well with The Forest to. I could run medium settings with no problem, but couldnt really do high settings.
The GTX 750 is still much much better. I bought it more of an investment for new games coming out later this year, which will have more demanding specs than The Forest currently does.
Intel Core i5 4670k @ 4.5Ghz - Watercooled
8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 OC Windforce Edition [2GB]
1TB Hard Drive
1TB Hard Drive (second)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Double monitors - so useful.
lol do you even have one of the hard drives filled? I would think with that much memory it would be hard to fill but with games like WoW It may fill up eventualy
also added a way to help based on alpha version
Intel Core i5 - 2400 @ 3,1 GHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM
Sapphire 7870 GHz Edition @ 2GB GDDR 5
1 TB HDD @ 7200rpm
500 GB HDD @ 7200rpm
Highest settings + 1920 x 1080:
The Forest V 0.04 -40/45 fps (without Mods !!!).
The Forest V 0.04 fps 20/30 fps (without Mods + video capture via Playclaw).
6 GB DDR2 Ram ( I plan two install 2 more GB's)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.67 GHz
148 GB HDD
3 TB External HDD
Zotac Geforce GTX 650 @ 1GB GDDR5
400 Watt Power Supply
Mid-Range PC I know, but a lot better that it was, a bone-stock Dell OptiPlex 745 that I picked up for 50 bucks. Would have got better upgrade parts, but my computer is small form factor and has a pretty aged Motherboard, so that limited my choices substantially.
Was running around 50 fps in a0.03 with all high settings, except anti-aliasing and SSAO were disabled. In a0.04 Shadows and grass are on medium with everything else the same and I'm getting around thirty. Runs the forest just fine(or at least good enough for me).
32 gigs Kingston HyperX
Asus Sabretooth motherboard
2x Asus 6770 OC Black video cards
